GWS = Greatest Waste of Space!

How frustrating are the Giants? So weak. Just gutless

why did I put money on them?! Honestly thought they would back up from last week

hogan can’t kick straight from 25 out. Wtf

GWS are poorly coached. Must be a Sydney thing. Players happy to get a kick, just hack it on the boot. Pretty pathetic to continue seeing this. GWS are terrible. Sydney not much better. Geelong just barely going here and winning as they like. One of the easier wins you’ll see.

Imagine being a GWS supporter? I Mean obviously you have to because they don’t have any physical supporters, but you get my point.

Danger starting to look his age.
32 and 290 games taking its toll. Still a gun but lost some explosiveness

Guess he’ll just have to depend on his kicking skills. Oh wait.

Bombers have lost their backline due to an Illness. Any interest in the game tonight has gone

Makes it more interesting for mine.

Wow. They had a backline?

Skills in the GWS and Geelong game have been poor. Not attractive footy. Watched the last quarter of syd and GC. Well the suns have done us a favour. Hope Hawthorn win by a point and lets see where the bears % climbs to.

Just wondering if there's a threat to our 186 up in Brisbane?

Are you saying they have no spine?

GWS are useless. What a friendly game of football.

The results over the last few weeks show us that this competition can in no way sustain 20 teams, not now nor in next 15 - 20 years. I’m all for a team in Tasmania but a current club must be relocated, any potential incoming CEO MUST share this opinion for the good of the game.

I cannot recall a team losing 5 players to illness, but stand to be corrected. What is going on here?

Us last week.

🤣But Essendon will now have there excuse for when they lose. If Hawthorn can't beat them tonight then they're not that good.

I thought GWS had turned the corner. lifeless performance from them. The board should consider letting Cameron go early and see if a different voice can inspire the players to salvage their season

Gutless, or heartless / rudderless?

That free kick to Hogan was ridiculous. No contact, or minimal at best.

Why don't the commentators call it?

AFL accreditation would be revoked - IMMEDIATELY to said commentators.

That was due to Covid. Which is sort of my point - what are Essendon playing at here?

Hmmm, very few games look enticing....perhaps it's a generational thing?

Looking forward to watching Big Ange snare another 3 points and take home the SPL later on this evening.

I'm the Blue side of town. Well done though.

There was a time during the current Melbourne cycle that goes back to before the premiership when the club was the toughest to beat in the fourth quarter. The Demons were not only hard to beat at any time but it was virtually impossible to get the better them when scores were close at three quarter time. It was only three or four years ago but they were fit, strong and resilient in body and mind. Sadly, those days are over. This has been the case since the club fell off its pedestal about 12 months ago after it beat Geelong and then lost to Carlton. In both instances, Melbourne put together strong, stirring final quarters, one that resulted in victory, the other, in defeat. Since then, the drop off has been dramatic to the point where it can neither pull off victory in close matches, nor can it even go down in defeat  gallantly.

  • CASEY: Footscray

At twenty-four minutes into the third term of the game between the Casey Demons and Footscray VFL at Whitten Oval, the visitors were coasting. They were winning all over the ground, had the ascendancy in the ruck battles and held a 26 point lead on a day perfect for football. What could go wrong? Everything. The Bulldogs moved into overdrive in the last five minutes of the term and booted three straight goals to reduce the margin to a highly retrievable eight points at the last break. Bouyed by that effort, their confidence was on a high level during the interval and they ran all over the despondent Demons and kicked another five goals to lead by a comfortable margin of four goals deep into the final term before Paddy Cross kicked a couple of too late goals for a despondent Casey. A testament to their lack of pressure in the latter stages of the game was the fact that Footscray’s last ten scoring shots were nine goals and one rushed behind. Things might have been different for the Demons who went into the game after last week’s bye with 12 AFL listed players. Blake Howes was held over for the AFL game but two others, Jack Billings and Taj Woewodin (not officially listed as injured) were also missing and they could have been handy at the end. Another mystery of the current VFL system.

  • PREGAME: Brisbane

The Demons head back out on the road in Round 10 when they travel to Queensland to take on the reigning Premiers and the top of the table Lions who look very formidable. Can the Dees cause a massive upset? Who comes in and who goes out?

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.
