The 3 outs with covid could be Bedford, Jackson and Oliver?

All live in the one household and this purely going off Bedford's instagram..

Both Clarry and Bedford were in the training photo's put up on the website just now. I think Trac, Spargo and Kossie all live together (or did last year) - none of them are in the photo's?

Neither is Dogga, JJ, Gus, Kozzy or Sparrow. So pretty unsure how we figure it out 😂

Jacko confirmed out (according to Mitch Cleary), and apparently no Kozzy or Trac at training.

Update - Scratch that, Trac was there.

Trac was at AAMI today

Sam Edmund live on SEN now -

  • Did not divulge names but suggested he was pretty sure he knew who they were.
  • When asked how significant the players were responded it was "1 or 2 best 22 and next generation stars"

LJ plus one other young gun plus a player outside the current 22 is best bet at the moment.

Is anyone else all of a sudden excited about this weekend!?

This has gone from cousins-wedding-in-country type indifference to cannot bloody wait!!

Classic MFC fan revisionism of BB. He was fantastic at North and has been, and currently is, the best tall forward we have.

I said footy not tall forward...I reckon you are correct about BBB.

I used to hate him at North..big fan now

If they win this one will any [censored] from elsewhere say that they haven't beaten anyone important?

This post probably won't age well, but here's a crack anyway:

In - Lever, Viney, T Mac

Out- Jackson, Kozzie, Smith.

Hopefully nobody else tests positive in the meantime.

I do not know what all the talk is about Dunstan suffering Concussion. ?  He never did according to the MFC and in fact came back on the ground after the incident. Even the MFC www site never mentions the word "concussion"

Add to the Demons woes at the selection table is the fact now that Hibbo is available but I tend to agree with you.

IN: Viney and Lever

OUT: Dunstan (unlucky) and Smith ( gave away two goals which is a No No...)

Looks like Dunstan stays David given it is looking like Clarry might have gotten the bug

Edit:  scrap that....aside from Dogga it could be anyone else at this point ie; hopefully not Clarry!

If Jackson is out would we bring in another ruckman?  Hawks aren't that tall and Max should take care of their rookie uckman on his own with only a little help from friends.

Maybe we bring in Melksham for Jackson and Bedford for Kozzie (if Kozzie is in iso).

Jackson is confirmed out.

Surely T Mac just comes in for him and Gawn shoulders almost all of the ruck work.

Viney likely to not play again this week.

Just a rumour that was passed on second hand.

I was suggesting we go in with one ruckman.

The only ruck Hawks have is Lynch who is a rookie.  McElvoy and Ceglar both out injured.

And while TMc does some ruck work he isn't a CB tap or clearance type ruckman so not sure he could play the Jackson role.

I think they should give Majak a go.

Weideman is a very good forward ruck.

TMac to come back

T-Mac used to handle a bit of ruck work, mostly forward of course.  Probably takes the odd one now but he's mostly covered off by one of Dogga or Gawn and is a rare go to of late

But with Dogga out?  I would say they will still go with the Weid as a pinch hitting (read put body next to opposing ruckman, contest but no we aren't expecting you to ever win a tap to advantage) ruck up forward.

Anyway all speculation until we have confirmation of who has the bloody lurgy.

Football world: No one is close to challenging Melbourne this season!!

CoVID: Hold my beer...

So Dunstan gets another shot....unless of course he also got....

I reckon Dazzle and a few others here might need to get down to training tomorrow

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.

  • PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

Long ago and far away, the Melbourne Football Club replaced its coach in difficult circumstances after the team suffered a devastating loss. In the aftermath, I penned the following words: “Then came the politics, the intrigue, the axing, the sound of the football world laughing at a club, the circling of the media vultures, the reinvention of history, the anger, the irony, the pathos, the hurt on the face of the president, the dignified departure of the coach, and the determination of the newly appointed caretaker.” Today, we’re back in the same place although one difference here is that the coach who was terminated this time is Simon Goodwin, the man who four years ago

  • REPORT: West Coast

The Charles Dickens novel, A Tale of Two Cities, opens with, “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, …”  This phrase highlights many of the significant challenges that humanity encounters in life, ranging from experiencing remarkable highs to living in times of despair. This is a concept that should resonate with all supporters of the Melbourne Football Club this morning as they reflect on its comprehensive 83-point victory over the struggling West Coast Eagles at Marvel Stadium. The outcome proved beyond doubt that they are the worst of clubs and that we are the best of the worst.
