We should not have seen that footage between him and his doctor, nor of him leaning against the locker. A bridge too far for mine. That is a very private moment of a human being in despair and is no place for voyeurs.

All bow down to the Great God Television. We cross now to the vulgar spectacle of self absorbed ninnies in manufactured drama who will slit each other's throats in return for 15 minutes of fame, all for your edification and enjoyment. Right after these gambling ads.

Agree, it's a bridge too far.

Parish 30 possessions to HT. Pretty good in anyone's book.

Possessions is a [censored] of a stat it what you do with them that counts.

Of course but it's not often you see those numbers to Half Time either.

Mihocek is a valuable player for the Pies. Always seems to be in the right spot and is a reliable kick.

29 years of age so you would think he only has another 2-3 years at best. Collingwood's forward stocks aren't that great

If there was text book case for dissent based on AFLs explanation, it was right there from DeGoey.

Don’t agree with the rule but the inconsistency is what drives people irate.

Gutted for poor Paddy McCartin - he was really showing his ability down back with the Swannies. Game over for his footy career methinks. And this solidifies my view about cameras in the change rooms. Completely agree. I can not understand why the AFLPA allows any footage from the rooms during the game. Seeing a doctor having a private conversation with a patient is no place for ‘entertainment’. It’s atrocious.

Did l just hear ‘cat like reflexes’ for a big man from Jobe about Draper

Its good to see the VFL getting some prime time 😉

Say what you want about Ginnevan he seems to relish the big stage.

Had to look him up.

12 goals from 9 games over two years.

His lucky day... good on him

He needs to pull his head in I reckon and pump up his team mates not his own tyres.

He annoys the carp out of me and reminds me of his d**k head father but he is a very good kick for goal.

Fair call, I find it refreshing when someone has a bit of swagger but theatrics can bite as well.

I don’t care how many disposals he gets, Parish wouldn’t get a game for us. Not only loves running into the contest to get his counting stats but as soon as he’s out in space actively looks for a guy to handball it too instead of looking what’s in front of him. The worst part is as soon as he knows the opposition has it won’t even bother putting any effort on defence.

Funny thing is he would’ve fit right in with the 2019 version of us though.

Not that I care but who is winning!?

It’s Game Day, and the Demons return to the MCG wounded, undermanned and desperate. Still searching for their first win of the season, Melbourne faces a daunting task against the Fremantle Dockers. With key pillars missing at both ends of the ground, the Dees must find a way to rise above the adversity and ignite their season before it slips way beyond reach. Will today be the spark that turns it all around, or are we staring down the barrel of a 0–6 start?

  • PREVIEW: Fremantle

A month is a long time in AFL football. The proof of this is in the current state of the two teams contesting against each other early this Saturday afternoon at the MCG. It’s hard to fathom that when Melbourne and Fremantle kicked off the 2025 season, the former looked like being a major player in this year’s competition after it came close to beating one of the favourites in the GWS Giants while the latter was smashed by Geelong to the tune of 78 points and looked like rubbish. Fast forward to today and the Demons are low on confidence and appear panic stricken as their winless streak heads towards an even half dozen and pressure mounts on the coach and team leadership.  Meanwhile, the Dockers have recovered their composure and now sit in the top eight. They are definitely on the up and up and look most likely winners this weekend against a team which they have recently dominated and which struggles to find enough passages to the goals to trouble the scorers. And with that, Fremantle will head to the MCG, feeling very good about itself after demolishing Richmond in the Barossa Valley with Josh Treacy coming off a six goal haul and facing up to a Melbourne defence already without Jake Lever and a shaky Steven May needing to pass a fitness test just to make it onto the field of play.
