Disgraceful isn’t it.
If the Umpire had called that out, for what it was, Respect would be shown

As it is they look weak and incompetent. They probably feared they'd get a memo from the AFL management & steering committee (Channel 7) asking them what planet they're on when a star of the game (RATING$) can be penalised.

The biggest staging of recent years gets a goal from a free and 50 and cops no fine. Tom Hawkins does it again.

I give up. The MRO is just a joke.

Red, I've made this point many times recently on Demonland.

I no longer try try to understand free kicks , I've also given up on the MRO.

Just try and enjoy the footy - the other stuff is beyond comprehension. ( at least mine)

When I'm at a game I'm constantly asking my companions - " What was that free for" or "why wasn't that paid " or " Why was/wasn't that a 50"?

Tom Hawkins frequent pushes in the back finally in the spotlight. It becomes rule of the week. Beneficiary? Tom Hawkins via a dive.

Other than our winning lately, I don’t really enjoy the game anymore and I blame the AFL for that loss of enjoyment.

McKay cops a fine for being bumped and falling over and this bloke launches into a space orbit, after a hand on his arm, after he initiates contact and gets off Scott free.

I especially love the blatant push in the back in the ruck contest by the Geelong ruckman before it went straight forward to Hawkins. Ironic Moronic

The AFL has only themselves to blame for dwindling attendance and participation

Carry on like this and it won’t get better, it’ll get worse.

The blatant cheating, favoritism and inconsistent ruling on just about everything is ruining the game.

As a scientifically-trained professional having majoring in physics, Hawkins staging defies Newtons laws of motion unless he propels himself. No way does the Hawks defender shove a 103kg weight into orbit in the manor of Hawkins flight path.

Tom's a marvel at staging and the AFL/MRO system is scandalously incompenent.

Next we'll all be told , as spectators, we Boo too much. But gee its hard sometimes.

Go Dees.

I'm having a chuckle at everyone potting Essendon. Matthew Lloyd teed off at them and said he went along as a supporter and had a crack and now every media commentator has just written them off. Hope there misery continues.

It's nice to be barracking for a club that is flying.

I agree it's nice, but gees they have had a really hard draw first up.

If they had Freo's draw in the first 5 rounds they would probably be 3-2 and nobody would say a thing.

Probably, but after all the chest puffing about making finals last year and "being robbed" in the EF, they & their media fanboys declared themselves February premiers. Only team able to dethrone them were the March premiers.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
