Dangerfield just the 14 disposals last night.

Was he tagged?

Nope, blown up after round 2.  Expect 1 or 2 dominant quarters and 2 or 3 totally missing.

I must admit that jeremy cameron bloke finds some very innovative ways to stuff up.

Is he over rated?

Mills and Dangerfield spent the entire night next to each other when Geelong had the ball or at stoppages, but when the swans had it Mills was running around on his own (and had 29 possessions).

Damn it I feel asleep during last quarter and missed Buds 1000.
The two games so far this round really show the difference when a team is kicking well.
Dogs 13.12 90 v Carlton 16.6 102

Swans 17.5 107 v Cats 10.17 77

I think it’s an area that we will need to improve on if we want to win back to back flags.

There can surely be no dispute that straight kicking enhances the chances of winning .... and successful dynasties always seek to improve, so of course we can do better.

21.14 in the GF wasn't good enough for you? 🤔

Needs to be sustained, and improved upon.

bloods look really, really good - have a strong defensive mindset and set-up

mccartin x2, rampe, and flankers is a solid back six

Don’t forget we bid on Heeney and Mills meaning we in theory rated them above Oliver and Petracca.

In reality we would have just bid on them knowing Sydney would still take them but it just shows how obsurd the advantage they get from their academy is.

Media has already changed the narrative to him being a good bloke for giving the guy his wallet back.

In no way is it deliberate, the bloke in black is running full pelt at him and Tuohy is trying to get out of the way of all the other people.

It’s a prime example of why this tradition is dangerous (I still love it!) but then he find the guy to give his wallet back. Pretty decent of him.

Just like Shaun Higgins.

Seriously, how can someone be rested after only 1 game into a season.

Sydney is a premiership contender this year. A seriously good side.

I can't help but feel Geelong are pretenders. Many were fooled into thinking they'd made major strides after Round 1. In reality, I suspect that was just a case of Essendon being putrid. Up against a genuine side, they went to water.

Nev Jetta is the pies defensive line coach today. Gross.

Love the guy but that first glimpse of him in a pies polo was all kinds of wrong.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the crows won.

As they always do. Cats to old, to slow and fall apart when pressure applied. Wonder if Scott comes up with another excuse.

What a bizzare 2 games we've seen, last night with buddy then the false alarm evacuation just then at the G

I knew I shouldn't have lit up in that amenities room.

If Swans had Paps back it could be a top four spot but they certainly look the goods at present.

Carlton somewhat a surprise package and will be interesting to see how they continue.

You beat me to it. The last 10 minutes of the second quarter was poorly umpired and it ALL went Collingwoods way.

Gee we've come off the high of buddy to some pretty average games. I expect the pies to roll Adelaide & dons v lions doesn't interest me except if the lions start thrashing them which I hope happens.

I don't even want to think about nth v eagles tomorrow.

The latest was just a ruse. A false alarm but the pies fans still managed to ransack the MCC

Yea word to the wise just sweat on your opponent and let him pick up the ball. Defenders deserve some leeway.

I wish we were playing at 1:45 at the G. Just looked at our fixture & we don't play at day game until round 7 even then that's not until 4:35.

I get being premiers we get put on at night but I do like a day game

Early season games can be hard to judge. Sydney started last season in the same form, winning the first four. You need early wins but you really don't want your team flying.

Adelaide started 3-1 last year, then only won 4 more games for the rest of the year. Richmond started 2-0 and missed the finals.

Brisbane started 1-3 and finished top 4. Essendon started 1-4 and made the finals. GWS started 0-3 and won a final.

Looks like Collingwood have thrown down the challenge to Carlton to be March premiers. The juggernauts that they are.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
