Just put a pineapple on BB for the Coleman. Paying $21!

Preseason last year I put on a multi. Dees flag, petracca Brownlow, brown Coleman. Massive odds.

20 minutes latest news came out about Brown's knee.

Any major injuries?

May went off and never came back, but apparently was on the bench getting a massage, so maybe just tightness?

Hopefully we get an update on Salem soon.

Goals? Best players?

Nice little cameo by Weideman in the ruck.

I think Ben Brown was the only player who crumbed a goal which to me was the only disappointing aspect.

Other than that great effort.

Perhaps Salem for BOG

Auskick rules apply. #4 ... free kick to you ... you haven't had a kick so far !!

Wow . . . tough on Auskick. Would understand if it was GC Winners.

remember when we used to be the side that said 'hey, we kicked 6 goals against the reigning premier in a first-up practice game - that's not so bad!' 😈

Cruelest post of '22 so far.

I got him at $26 a couple of weeks ago.  Waaay overs for a bloke that has previously finished runner up, has kicked 60+ goals three years in a row and now has the AFL's best midfield delivering it to him.

I was confused about the pineapple reference there for a minute.😁

I know a 20s a lobster.

Is a100 a watermelon ?

Worth a punt for sure.

500 is a monkey

1000 is a gorilla

BoG for me was Clarry.  Very powerful display.

Most pleasing was Joel Smith.  Not sure if he was beaten once and disposed of the ball very well.  Really starting to use his supreme athletic gifts well.  Even with Petty out, picking our defenders for round 1 will be a nightmare.

The blue and white was vertical today - horizontal in the PF, though I guess the Cats lying down makes them look vertical

Statement game, there is no premiership hangover there. that was a hungry and ruthless team, little bit of rust, but geez we're going to be tough to beat again.

Is he a swinger? gee there is one for the books.

I know it’s a long season but a lot of the boys will know that if they get dropped they may not get back into the side again. Particularly towards the pointy end of the year.

This is what every good team wants - huge competition for spots

Don't perform and you will be out - no easy way back if your replacement takes their chance

  • PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

With both sides precariously positioned ahead of the run home to the finals, only one team involved in Sunday’s clash at the Adelaide Oval between the Power and the Demons will remain a contender when it’s over.  On current form, that one team has to be Melbourne which narrowly missed out on defeating the competition’s power house Collingwood on King's Birthday and also recently overpowered both 2024 Grand Finalists. Conversely, Port Adelaide snapped out of a four-game losing streak with a win against the Giants in Canberra. Although they will be rejuvenated following that victory, their performances during that run of losses were sub par and resulted in some embarrassing blow out defeats.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • PREGAME: Port Adelaide

The Demons are set to embark on a four-week road trip that takes them across the country, with two games in Adelaide and a clash on the Gold Coast, broken up by a mid-season bye. Next up is a meeting with the inconsistent Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval. Who comes in and who goes out?

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
