Yay, I got a ticket! Thanks to @Olgreybeard49’s help, I can stop stressing. I don’t even care what part of the G, so long as I’m there.
Soooo excited!

Level 1 and Level 2 being reported as "allocation exhausted". Only the nose bleeds available and Mrs Dw doesn't do nose bleeds. Same shizen Ticketek system.

Same here dw, Obviously left it too late. I hate level 4 as well, I have a feeling a number who are on level 4 wont front. Little in life is perfect. Decisions decisions!

M35 is the Ponsford next to the MCC I think - southern stand is M1-M28 so you won't be facing the back of the stage. Sounds like they'll only have the northern/Ponsford stands open anyhow

That's not the way i read the map Dr. but I am no expert and I was struggling with working out the map. I picked a section and it gave me a different one.

Are you still going?

Looks like from the MCG map that they have only opened up part of the MCG, the parts that will have a good view of the screens and stage.  Hopefully when they see the amount of interest not only from members but from non members tomorrow they will open up more bays.

if you are stuck with level 4, try again tomorrow

no code required tomorrow.  open to general public

no way im sitting on level 4.

Got on at 2.00pm. M51, almost exactly where our reserved seats are normally. Took a while, but SMS messages have come through. For an oldish f##t an amazing performance to get the job done!

Got my tickets sorted for me and my Dad. Up in level 4 which is annoying. But I didn't get time to log in at 2:00pm due to work commitments.

I also donated $10.00 to the Red & Blue Foundation. I think that just goes without saying to contribute a bit to the Club seeing as the tickets are free.

I am genuinely excited about this event! I just gotta make sure I arrive at the MCG nice and early to get a photo holding the 2021 AFL Premiership Cup!

I cannot wait to celebrate our 57 year drought breaking Premiership with all of the rest of you fellow Melbourne Demons supporters!!!

GO DEMONS!!!! WE ARE PREMIERS!!! WE ARE NUMBER ONE!!!

You think the GP will get better ticket locations tomorrow!

That is really poor. They really should delay opening it up to the public until next week to ensure that members who want to go can get in first before non-believers.

I am hoping they will open up more bays on level 1 when they see the level of interest but I could be dreaming

The talk was they will not limit the crowd, although they seem to be planning for 40K max. if more show interest they will have to open up more bays

are you sure you could only get one?  The way mine worked is you could only select 1 ticket under 'members' but then could select upto 9 more under 'non-members'

a bit weird. I tried to look just now and I could easily book 2 seats together on level 4

id call the club or try again tomorrow without a code

Nephew’s engagement day but nephews are over rated.
Do we have to do the ticketek booking thing like during the season?

James Brayshaw's nephew notwithstanding.

M54. Right on the 50m arc in the Northern Stand. Get in!

Thanks WCW but will have to re- watch the Granny from home, our seats are on L2 and  we can’t even get seats together on L4. My prob didn’t get on until 3:20.

For those in the MCC, the alcoholic drinks in seat protocol is currently extended until the end of the cricket season and will be reviewed before the 2022 Footy season starts.

Not that i'll be slamming alcohol that early on a Sunday but would like a drink in hand when the cup is held by the players on the stage

same - one of my 7 guests (family) has already received an SMS with the ticket but the rest of us haven't.

If you have the ticketek app on your phone, click on the movie ticket icon on the bottom right and all 8 of mine all showed up there.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?

  • NON-MFC: Round 11

Round 11, the second week of The Sir Doug Nicholls Round, kicks off on Thursday night with the Cats hosting the Bulldogs at Kardinia Park. Geelong will be looking to to continue their decade long dominance over the Bulldogs, while the Dogs aim to take another big scalp as they surge up the ladder. On Friday night it's he Dreamtime at the 'G clash between Essendon and Richmond. The Bombers will want to avoid another embarrassing performance against a lowly side whilst the Tigers will be keen to avenge a disappointing loss to the Kangaroos. Saturday footy kicks off as the Blues face the Giants in a pivotal clash for both clubs. Carlton need to turn around their up and down season while GWS will be eager to bounce back and reassert themselves as a September threat. At twilight sees the Hawks taking on the Lions at the G. Hawthorn need to cement themselves in the Top 4 but they’ll need to be at their best to challenge a Brisbane side eager to respond after last week’s crushing loss to the Dees on their home turf. The first of the Saturday night double headers opens with North Melbourne up against the high-flying Magpies. The Roos will need a near-perfect performance to trouble a Collingwood side sitting atop the ladder.

  • PREVIEW: Sydney

The two teams competing at the MCG on Sunday afternoon have each traversed a long and arduous path since their previous encounter on a sweltering March evening in Sydney a season and a half ago. Both experienced periods of success at various times last year. The Demons ran out of steam in midseason while the Swans went on to narrowly miss the ultimate prize in the sport. Now, they find themselves outside of finals contention as the season approaches the halfway mark. The winner this week will remain in contact with the leading pack, while the loser may well find itself on a precipice, staring into the abyss. The current season has presented numerous challenges for most clubs, particularly those positioned in the middle tier. The Essendon experience in suffering a significant 91-point loss to the Bulldogs, just one week after defeating the Swans, may not be typical, but it illustrates the unpredictability of outcomes under the league’s present set up.

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
