Sir Why You Little 37,457 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 KK had a fairly quiet game by his standards BUT his shepherd, allowing Tracc to kick his 2nd. i have only just noticed what he did. incredible Grand Final moment That was the goal that broke the Dog Watch it again. Kozzie opened the door 13 2 Quote
dazzledavey36 56,334 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Tim Watson made a big mention of this on SEN this morning. 2 Quote
Dee Zephyr 19,311 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Was unreal and something we’ve done a lot more this season. Protecting teammates. 2 Quote
Gorgoroth 13,220 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Saw it when they did the first replay, if you watch all the finals and watch what’s happening around the ball, not the ball you see him, Nibbler, tmac etc do all these all game long. Sparrow at centre bounces is big too, he just crashes people. 3 Quote
PartyTimeJohnny 537 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 (edited) This coupled with TRAC'S EYES working back to the centre after that goal. It's the moment of the game for me. Edited September 26, 2021 by PartyTimeJohnny 8 Quote

Kozzie opened the door 23 pressure acts and 3 tackles inside 50. Didn't get lucky with kicking goals himself, but his pressure and intent was what a Grand Final is all about for mine. 13 1 Quote

Timothy Reddan-A'Blew 5,690 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Thank you for getting this out there @Sir Why You Little as a specific topic (it was mentioned in a couple of places on Postgame) I've been thinking it needed to be since my first replay viewing. It was instinctive and deliberate all at once, and blink-of-the-eye and powerful in its execution. I reckon it's a moment Kozzie now has to treasure. 2 1 Quote

low flying Robbo 979 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 He had a relatively quiet game stats wise, but was hardly quiet when it came to his off the ball work. Especially the pressure he applied for Spargo's goal. 4 Quote

KK could have gone for possession of that ball, it is his job. But No, he did the Selfless thing, that was so important But he is part of that goal, just as much as Tracc Awesome…. 2 Quote

Commentators always seem about a couple of seconds behind the action and if they saw it (see my previous post) it was already overtaken by the commentators-dream action that followed the split second later. BW511 2,730 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 He hits bodies with serious intent, particularly when he isn't a big bloke himself. He'd give away 10kg and plenty of height to Dunkley 5 Quote
deebug 1,754 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 Kozzie did amazing things, watched him never give up, he had three bulldog players around him and he kept trying to smash pass them to get the footy. As they say some times it's the little things that can make a huge difference. 3 1 Quote

MrFreeze 2,054 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 Riv also laid a great shepard on Treloar to set up another Trac goal 3 Quote
Skuit 10,031 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 I've always though of Ben Brown as a goofy labrador. Pickett then is our Jack Russel. Endlessly running to where ball-carrier is in the small hope he will get a bite. 1 Quote
Forest Demon 4,681 Posted September 27, 2021 Posted September 27, 2021 He did a lot of good stuff off the ball, a couple of which led directly to goals such as that Petracca goal and also the Spargo goal. Certainly not his best game, but he did all the team things that you want from a small forward. [censored] me when I read comments on social giving him stick. The kid was a massive contributor to a premiership season. 3 Quote
