Home Grand Final replay would be nice. Unfurl the flag then repeat the job

This could be longest thread ever once every is awake and sober

Sat around a wonderful group of demons at the game yesterday, this club has some really great people supporting it, made the game even better. I love you all, 🟥🟦

Goody on the Sunday Footy Show at the moment, sounds as rough as guts. Love it.

A very raspy voice, think there staying in wa for a few days , consider it the short bali trip

Goody said he got shafted in the pregame and didn’t get to say his thanks.

What a shambles. He’s the premiership coach, give him 2 minutes to thank people.

How’s the head going Demonlanders?
Every bit of vision you watch over the coming days will most likely cause you to shed some tears. It’s probably been mentioned but seeing Kozzie trying to hand his medal to Neville Jetta on the boundary celebration got to me big time.

Very crusty this morning!!!

I just soaked in the victory by myself so this is the first glance I've had at Demonland. I'm so happy for the club . I'm happy for all  supporters, especially the ones more passionate than I am that never gave up. Thanks to Demonland and the community here for the ride. The two things that make me the happiest is that Neale Daniher got to see us win and my dad who took me to so many games when I was a kid got to see us win another flag after 57 years.

Im not sure I have slept yet, still in party beast mode🤩

I thought  we were gone.

But a few posters did point out we would come home strong.

But I didn't expect that.

It was like a training drill.

Did you buy the cheese board?

I bought the meat cleaver, to carve up my dog meat!

So content, that 3rd quarter!

Look at this beautiful morning here in Melbz. Oh, to be able to gather en masse with all you guys, sharing the love. ❤️💙

Thank goodness for Demonland. We’re all together in spirit.
WE BLOODY DID IT!!!!

Hadda tell everyone where I am right now

I LOVE YOU MELBOURNE, I LOVE YOU DEMONLANDERS!!!

wow wow wow!!

I can not believe it.

we did it! Yes we! Every single red and blue blooded human.

I had the weirdest dream last night. We kicked 17 goals to one after being down 19 deep in the third. Absurd.

Oh, that was reality? That happened? Bugger me.

Whilst we couldn’t necessarily be there in person, part of my joy in the win was that all of you awesome people on DL could share in this feeling. So many years of hurt, frustration and sheer despair have bonded us and so happy for all of you now.

Can't wait for the Demonland podcast. @binman and @george_on_the_outerwill say I told you so and Andy won't know what to do with himself. I still can't quite believe it's really happened.

I am so fricken happy 😃

it was so special to be able to share last night with my daughters in person (in Brisbane) and my family (who live in Melbourne) via zoom

not sure I ever thought we’d see that in our lifetime

so happy ❤️😊💙

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
