Many thanks for these@The Mighty Demons!

Would it be too much of a stretch to do Max's goal from the boundary in the 3rd as well?

By the way, loved your 'Anything Is Possible' vid! Max certainly proved that on Friday night!

It could be the funniest haul of five goals of all time. By the end of this video when I'd seen Garry Lyon's reaction four times I was pissing myself laughing too.

I love that they were all mentioning the fact that he had kicked two of the best goals of his career, and there was still the kick out of the ruck contest to come, which was probably the best of the lot (imo).

The commentators (can't remember which ones) suggested the first two goals he kicked in this game were the best he'd ever kicked. I'd argue neither are the best goals he's ever kicked against Geelong, let alone of all time. Only a few weeks ago he'd kicked a goal after the siren to allow us to win the Minor Premiership. I think that's the best of the lot because it was done under the most pressure. Happy to argue with anyone which one is his best. It's an argument with no losers and anyone involved will have a smile on their face reminiscing.

I watched Gawn's and Jackson's progression this year from ruckman to midfielders which I think it was Gawn's desire to keep up with Jackson in that area and Jackson has become a ruckman to keep up with Gawn.

They have challanged each other to become better and the team is benefiting from their work his goal on the run is an example of their improved work at the stopages.

This is unreal mate! Awesome stuff.

I'm going to be picky also.. the big clunk and set shot was close to my favourite.  Any chance of that one?

You really can't fault Triple M and SEN commentary in all that.

Anthony Hudson, Gerard Whately and Mark Howard are far too good to be doing radio commentary in September.

Loved Gawn giving out high 5s to the trainers when he got back to the middle.

Geez that bloke behind the goals must be plastered by now, having skulled that many beers in quick succession.... 😄

shows Tim Lane is one of the best callers, and MMM are the absolute worst.  Without the vision, their meaningless drivel would be impossible to listen to.  Example “Oh! He is taking the p1sz! He is taking the p!ss! Would not tell me wtf is going on. These guys are grandstanding Nufties.

BTW, unbelievable and brilliant performance by Max!

Anyone else find McLachlan to be a real moment killer with a lot of his calls? His call of Max’s after the siren goal was dour and now Max’s long range goal was a golf reference.

Brayshaw is infuriating to listen to but at least he gets you pumped up.

Love this, thanks

Also love the footage of that piece of [censored] Guthrie on his hands and knees looking stunned, the picture should be added to the Jack Viney made me cry thread😂

Was it JV that copped Guthrie? Was a great little hit - and escaped review. Go Demons

Delete.

Replied wrong person.

Out of all the commentary channel 7 was by far the least exciting and dour as you described.

Can't believe in this day of age the AFL grand final commentary team will be lead by James Brayshaw and Brian Taylor.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
