they played gyros at 1/4 time

most wa-based artists are melbourne residents these days so can't see the likes of them or jebs or the like playing the half-time / post-game concert

maybe the flairz can come outta retirement

Tame Impala. 👍🏽

Hawkins what a fair player he is . If he's not hitting, pushing or holding people behind the play, he's trying to drive them into the ground or accidentally put his elbow or forearm into no particular part of any body and I would hate to have a sob like him playing  for us..

Why does Port get 15 days off

We get 14 days off.  Shouldn't make any difference to either team.

That was a bog ordinary game.

Objectively we are a much better side than Geelong and should win if we can avoid a run of goals like last time.

Nonetheless I’ll be having nightmares all week.

Well if we win the prelimin then we get the extra day break heading into the GF.

Why does Port get 15 days off and a game against the lower ranked finals team in a prelim for finishing 2nd?

Riddle me that.

Because the AFL wants every team to get a 7-day break in finals, there is bugger all difference between a 13 and a 15 day break and we got the easier of the qualifying final match-ups. If we can’t roll Geelong we don’t deserve to win.

If we end up playing Port in the GF we will have both hosted games against the Cats and Lions to get there so same same. And you could argue we have a bigger advantage vs Geelong given the rest week.

Plus we’ll get an extra day before the GF if we make it.

So Selwood doesn't like his Coach.Cant say I blame him.

Are you serious?

There's no meaningful difference between 13 days and 15 days off. They're obviously going to give Geelong and the Dogs/Lions winner 7 days each rather than give Geelong 8 days but Dogs/Lions 6 days.

And Port gets the "lower ranked" finals team in the prelim because they already had to beat the higher ranked finals team in their QF.

Are you seriously complaining about this?

Riddle me that.

Gives us the extra day off if we win before the Grand Final. We also beat the lower ranked team last week so a cross over has to happen.

We got this folks

I believe we can cover the Cats players, it’s the guys in yellow that really me on tonight’s performance. Not totally sure we can cover all of them.

No goals by Giants until about 10 mins into the 2nd quarter will kill a team every time.

We must come out with huge pressure from the start next week.

The Giants had 2 players with less than 5 games played tonight. They have a mammoth injury list.
Cats were almost full squad. Danger can’t play with a tag.

Cats had 3-4 goals from pretty soft frees.

I reckon Hawk will carry that cork into next week so time for May to get even.

Given our last PF performance, I’m sure Goody and the playing group will come out breathing fire to make amends for it.

Might just be time to review that game after all, Goody. Get the boys angry and pumped.

At least 2 of Hawkins' goals were blatant frees against. Huge push in back and 'dont argue' to the face.

Who were the umps tonight? They can [censored] right off till 2022

It's that time of year.
Doesn't matter who we play.
We gotta beat them all.
Doesn't matter what order

Large number of our 22 didn't play in that game. No longer needed imo.

Half the team will say about half the side in red and blue, "who are these doofuses and who let them onto a footy field?"

Just consign that match to the history books and never look back.

Gawn, Petracca, Viney, Oliver, Harmes, Salem and ANB did.Get those fellas motivated and pumped and it will go a bloody long way to winning.

You challenge the best to be the best.

It's as simple as that.

We've had our break, now its time to crush these mofo's into submission.

No excuses or theories about 13 day vs 15 day break we just pulverise these [censored] into oblivion.

It's a prelim final.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
