Oh can Cameron ping the hammy in the final moments or Hawkins cops a concussion.

Is wanting both asking too much?

Would have loved for the Prelim to be on a Thursday night so the Cats only get a 6 day break.

Channel 7 music man on fire the last few weeks. All 90s grunge and alt rock. Lovely.

they played gyros at 1/4 time

most wa-based artists are melbourne residents these days so can't see the likes of them or jebs or the like playing the half-time / post-game concert

maybe the flairz can come outta retirement

Lets get their coach sacked next week..

Well that was a pretty awful game.

Cats after 7 days and no bye pre finals.

NO excuses next week Dees.

They don’t deserve to play a prelim. They were the slightly better of two [censored] teams.

It's only really dawning on me now that next week is either going be the sweetest night of most of our lives, or one of the worst nights of most of our lives.

And how about Toby too.

[censored] I said earlier, he should feels totally ashamed, but probably won't.

I take it we are up first? Friday night?

What’s bigger, De Boer’s head or the invisible watermelons that Dangerfield carries under his armpits?

Umpires still at it with 30 seconds to go, Henry grabs ball, dodges first tackler only to get wrapped up without disposing of the ball. Holding the ball? No umpire says he was wrapped up with no prior. Give me a break.

Why does Port get 15 days off and a game against the lower ranked finals team in a prelim for finishing 2nd?

Riddle me that.

I was thinking about Scott actually if we can smash them

The Cats are a very favoured bunch that's for sure

That was a bog ordinary game.

Objectively we are a much better side than Geelong and should win if we can avoid a run of goals like last time.

Nonetheless I’ll be having nightmares all week.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
