A couple of lads and I went to the Dees v Crows game in Adelaide this season, you can tell from the state we were in that we ended up having a kebab after the game. While we were waiting for the worst kebab in the southern hemisphere I looked over and was aghast to see the local lads lining up for a stamp. No doubt to commemorate the win for the evening.

Oh boy... That looks an... interesting... establishment...

Probably got their eyebrows pierced as a two for one.

We’re not talking full sleeve tattoos or full legs etc. According to my hipster son, the totally in thing is getting little individual tattoos, usually colourful and not screaming “I’ve done time!” A great example of this is Tom Liberatore. And Josh Bruce being another. Yes, Libba jnr’s tatts aren’t the best but that style is what’s trending right now.

Let's be clear here WCW. I hate tattoos any size and any reason.

You'd look good with a "K" on one butt cheek and a "z" on the other.

When you bend over, it'll spell "Koz".

Brilliant! I still want to take the flag to games (it reminds of good times with the old man) buts it’s a bit wuss a 44yr old waving it around.

Cards, keep it, you young whipper-snapper; you can look forward to being less and less worried about wuss as you get older.

Take it from me.

My friend, I will never ever get rid of it while I draw breath. I love it dearly, I am looking forward to both the little guys annoying opposing fans with it for years to come!! (If we can attend games ever again lol)

This is my tattoo over my heart. I’ve had it for about 10 years. It’s by a guy called Scott Campbell whose a really well regarded artist

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Campbell_(tattoo_artist)

I was living in New York and missing the Dees. The rig doesn’t look this good anymore sadly. 🤣

If we win the flag I’m a big fan of the Weg Demon @Sir Why You Littleposted a few weeks back. Love the late 70’s/early 80’s vibe.

Will be interesting seeing the difference between the amount of tattoo shops booked out after the Tigers flag compared to ours given the reputation of our supporters.... (With apologies to the legend who is Ang)

Where is Ang these days? use to see him all the time during the mid to late 2000's on the telecasts.

I wouldn't get a kebab from that place if you paid me. I can understand why you did after a night on the sauce.

He's still around as far as I know. He pops up on the Dees social etc every now and then. Usually you'd keep tabs on him by spotting him in the broadcast or replay, but alas no crowds, so no mohawk.

If we win and at the age of 65, I'm going to do it.  Will I need a general anaesthestic?   I have a very low pain threshold

Do it!!! Your age doesn’t mean a thing. As for pain, a little discomfort is what it is. Look at it this way… it’s a drop in the ocean compared to the pain you’ve experienced as a Dees fan. 😉

this is a rough idea (spacing is all wrong etc.) but it’s along those lines.

I thought about that for my chest. It would go well with my two new stents.

  • REPORT: Essendon

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?
