Gonna be tough when cases near 100 tomorrow

Out of 6.5 million that's like a rain drop in the Pacific ocean.

Makes no difference really they're in a bubble and no crowds.  They've been playing here through cases (off and on)  for the last 6 weeks or more.

Time to step up and demand what we've earned by finishing first.

I don't think I have seen a MFC victory like that. My beer is tasting delicious but I shall keep my hat on until we win a flag. I sincerely hope that is this year.

How good was that interview with Trac?  What a legend.

I had just stopped crying when I saw Tracc had been crying and that started me all over again. AND I’M STILL CRYING!!

My wife [censored] herself when l ran through the house screaming  to let my son know Max was lining up to kick the winner. Unbelievable result & best finish ever to a Melb game since l started following them in the 70's.

I honestly don’t think I have lived through a sweeter moment in footy (yet- could change in 4 weeks time). To beat Geelong at their home ground after being 44 points down and 32 down at 3/4 time, in the manner we did was the sweetest thing! For Maxy to get his revenge and kick the goal after the siren was just unbelievable! Great vibes. Like another poster I do not even know how it happened, who or why it happened but I think it was an amazing team effort in the end!

CARNA DEMONS!!!!

MINOR PREMIERS!!!

Now let's get the real thing in a month.

Dunno if it's been mentioned but pretty sure thats the first time we've EVER won with a kick after the siren.

Reverses the 2018 games, Maxy misses with a few seconds left in round 1, Tuohy sinks us after the siren later that year.

Leave something in the tank in case we win the big one WC

7.8 magnitude Earthquake here in South East Qld,apparently 2 million Brisbane people just crapped their pants.

Seriously,i've never seen any team flick the switch like that and smash a team in contested possession, when we decided it was time, they didn't stand a chance.

Maxy to seal the minor Premiership!!!!!!!!!

Clayton Oliver,no words do you justice,a huge chance for the Brownlow with the Bont not polling the last 3 games

I am still crying. I was on the floor of my bedroom crying hysterically when Gawn was lining up. Couldn’t watch it go through.

We need the GF played a the M.C.G with all of us there to cheer on the lads please God and all the football God's please let us be there????🙏

My daughter did video mine and it’s now on Facebook getting all the lols. My [censored] crack is visible in one. Don’t even care. I’m hoarse.

When the ump called that deliberate i was screaming but then the fifty m penalty and it was hello. When Max marked i was scared.

Just love your passion Jaded

If I am honest I thought Maxy was going to miss.

Thank god I was wrong.

GO DEES

I must say, Cats were hands on knees in the 3rd qtr. That's when I started thinking we might run over them. It was a longshot thought, so glad it was right. That free against Bullen for Htb and Brayshaw's oob put me over the edge tonight. Just proves umpires don't understand the game.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
