Well, that’s one helluva trick he’s got right there! He makes David Copperfield et al look like amateurs.

I come from a family of failed stage magicians.  I have a half-sister.

Just put it in the wrong thread. Was watching the hawks Tigers game.

4 wins Demons

that is the mindset

Whoever it is, wherever it is played

It’s 4 wins, get the job done

Work with each other. Challenge each other

Yep 1 week at a time, but basically that is it.

Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime

I really think port are not as good as their ladder possie indicates.

Even though we did a great job v them at their gome, a finals prospect is different.

So I really hope we can avoid that.

Also think the dogs are a good side but in all honesty rely on a few players more than most teams. Lets be honest they get a lot of free kicks.

The real contenders are playing tonight and i believe one of them will hold up a cup.

So an emphatic win would be great.

It gives us a home final and would put fear into other teams.

Great to have Tmac and May back in.

Also our fwd line has started to click.

This really is a mini gf tonight.

Dees by 33.

We either Port in AO or the Lion in a neutral venue.
that’s the options?

It's a glorious day outside so I'm keeping busy with some landscaping until beer o'clock at around 4pm. Then I'll put my feet up and have a look at the warm up act at the Gabba before the main event at KP. How good is it having the best Melbourne side any of us have probably ever seen and knowing they will probably only get better.

No doubt this is the best Melbourne team in over 50 years and they will get better. Only older players are Gawn, May, TMac & BBB who hopefully all have 2-3 decent years left, then you go Trac, Oliver, Salem, Langdon & Lever will be at their peak over next 5 years, look at youngsters in Jackson, Pickett, Rivers, Bowey, Petty, it certainly is exciting times.
Now is the time to be a Demon supporter, only major issue is I’ve suffered through over 50 years of losses to get here!

Go Demons.

I think we will be in Adelaide next week, no matter which opponent.

A win for me today would be no injuries.

They have 2 of their mainstays missing in Tuohy and Stewart, no crowd support. I also reckon their narrow ground could help our defensive structures. Think we've got this.

It makes it all so much sweeter if we taste success.

A few pundits claim this is the best fwd line going up against the best backline(ours).

I think our forward line is now pretty potent as well so i think we will win.

With Hawkins injured.

Come on... What we are not allowed to say it out loud?

Alight just a mini two hour strain then.

Possibly reported as well.

All I hope is that I dont need a new TV after tonight.  Might just listen to the radio instead for a while to save money.

or dogs at a neutral venue if the lions lose to the eagles or win but don't make up the percentage to the dogs

Not two half-sisters?

Anyone else tense...excited...nervous?

Imagine being in a granny.

Ive forgotten  the 2000 gf excitement..build up cos it was such a bad game for us.

The 2018 prelim still lingers but went the same way as 2000.

I feel physically sick. Between this game and Covid my anxiety is off the charts.
Need to finish the domestic chores so I can relax with a calming glass of Shiraz.

Dees 15.7 to Cats 13 10 final score

No.  There are alcohol issues as well and she's permanently legless.  :D

Somewhat nervous but not too bad yet. Nothing like a good bottle of Red to help calm the nerves.

All of the above, almost same feelings as last round 1987 vs Dishlickers🥴

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
