Honestly reckon Port are a chance here. Clean up their goal kicking with better forward entries and I think they can beat the doggies.

Don't want them too but I'm with you. Doggies very lucky to be that margin ahead. And for an important game, it's a yawnfest right now.

Bulldogs .... Trealor, Dunkley, Libba, JJ (other than that goal) not doing much

Port ... Gray, Boak, Wines (by his standards), Dixon also quiet

Boaks had 21 disposal this first half..

Doggies still look sluggish to me. Their forward line is a mess without Bruce.

I was just thinking that. Neither of these teams look as though they could roll us.

Port with a single goal in a half.

Pretenders or what?

Different type of game for dogs, didn’t think they could win in a low scoring contest

Wow, fumbles from many of the players. The B+ players are making lots of errors. Cannot find space or execute under perceived pressure.

Alir Alir is playing well as is Daniel's and Easternwood, Bont is in and out of the game, expect more in the third from him. Treloar clean footy. Dogs backline holding well. English and Naughton well off. Gray to impact in the third.

Port missing gettable goals is giving the game to the dogs, they seem to fall apart under pressure.

A pathetic spectacle of footy this game is. Niether side looks to be top 4 but I still think port can be more dangerous. Fix their kicking and if that happens in 2nd half beware. In Adelaide they would be kicking staighter. Bulldogs handball too much and they really do not have a forward line.

Adam Cerra was on his way to Richmond mid year, before the Carlton slide, last 6 weeks or go that dynamic change from staying at Freo or going to Carlton.

So from around that time his player manager must have gotten a sniff that Ross was the next boss of the blues.

But apparently Cerra is not keen on Lyon.

Spot the handball

Almost choked on my chicken drumstick when Jon Ralph said "Cerra very likely on his way to Melbourne", then realised he means the town

Nice goal there from J.Somerville 😂

Naughton may go for that , dangerous tackle well after umpire blew whistle

Naughton reported for dangerous tackle  - 3AW saying "that end of the season should get off".  Would ANB get the same latitude?

Bulldogs looking good to only kick 5 goals 2 weeks in a row.

Doggies in trouble.

Port players head didn't even touch the ground I'm pretty sure

Maggots ignoring the 8 meter passes this week .... ar at least tonight.

Dogs gone to sleep, or Port improved?  A bit hard to tell which.

Dogs with one goal since 10 mins into the first Q

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
