Spoke to Lynden Dunn after the Sandy game today and he said that he should be ok to play next week which is great news for Sandy and Melbourne..

Just hope he isn't coming back a tad too soon...would rather him sit out another week than risk re injuring himself

Really good news in what has been a pretty ordinary couple of weeks injury-wise (and form wise!).

It's not really the type of injury you can re-injure if you come back too soon.

He will either get the green light from the surgeon, or he won't. If he had a plate inserted in the area (not sure), it should now be stronger than before.

Lets just hope nobody feels the need to elbow him in the face again!

Unfortunately you can re-injure the same area.

Yes, but it's not under the same intense hammering that something like a knee or ankle would be, I think that's Jaded's point.

Unless you have it removed like Daniel Chick's finger or Brendan Fevola's brain. (Fev shouldn't miss too many weeks for concussion  )

Gee, if he was picked to play against Geelong someone may try to kick him in the face

If dunny is back and rounds into form within a few games (he was in good knick before the elbow to the face) it will put some heat on brad miller.

Dunn provides another option up forward, and with pjs 28 hitouts agasint the cats vfl side miller is under the pump early.

Hopefully millsy can turn it on.

Good to hear that dunny is back in the picture

'PJ's 28 hit-outs' reads better than it was. Unfortunately he's not up to AFL standard at the moment and seems to be treading water since his injury against the Swans. He will not be part of our best potential premiership line-up unless he re-invents himself. He'll never be a key ruckman who is adaptable around the ground unless he imposes himself more on the contest which a man of his size should be able to do.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
