Tonight will be a night to have Vanders ready to pounce, steamroll, screen, shepherd, anihilate, flatten, tag, catch, frighten, intimidate, display mongrel, incapacitate, behead and generally straighten out a few bends in a road puddled with a few atmospheric discharges and white, read and blue bodies.

Harmes must play, yes. So why is Viney? Vanders would do twice the job.

Viney will lift tonight. Vanders unlucky.

And some tv boffin producer at seven decided nsw want to watch the olympics. Sheesh.

Sold Chad a refrigerator once while I was living on the Sunny Coast.  Very friendly guy.

One night in about 1978 I was awoken late at night by a loud crash.

Chad, in a state of extremely advanced relaxation (munted) after a gig, had driven his car straight into the brick front fence of a house a couple of doors away!

I didn’t realise Dunkley is out, that’s massive.

Are you in iso?

No late changes, so Dogs height will win it or lose it for them methinks (hoping the latter)

Slim Dusty and Chad Morgan for me.

I’ve already started writing my music based season review . It’s like Homers Epic - I better add Faith No More’s Epic!

Is that where scrubby creek is?

Um, yes actually.

Just outside of Gympie at the north end of the Sunshine Coast.

I think Chad flossed his teeth with a garden rake.

He could eat an apple through a tennis racket.

Schache a strange selection. Has played 3 games since 2019, averaging 6 disposals.

Furthermore, their back six is not overly tall - only two 'talls' - Keath (197) and Cordy (193).

If  Max or LJ stray forward the Dogs will struggle to find a match.

As another poster suggested I reckon he was brought in so English can spend time fwd. our backline would struggle with English the others

Reckon they’re hoping for a WCE effort from us in the wet tonight. Surely we’re not gonna put up an effort like that

Waiting for this game to start brings the same anxiety as waiting for the daily Victorian Covid update.

Gus did say back at the G the last time we played in the wet - that 'we' were licking our lips...

I hope this is accurate, and they want to get down and dirty.

It's no september football by any means, but it helps us.

As Bevo has made some changes, I hope Goody has also got something up his sleeve. I'd love to remind the Doggies, and everyone else that we're still top dog here (despite being young and misbehaving from time to time, requiring a little bop on the nose with the newspaper).

We are currently 3rd in the line of betting for the flag at 5.50

Lets see if that changes after this match

Mowed the lawns, washed the car and a pork belly is slowly roasting away as a carton of amber fluid is being ice chilled. Actually 18 and diminishing.

go Dee’s. ???

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • PREGAME: St. Kilda

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

  • REPORT: Richmond

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

The Dees ran another clinic for the second week in a row as they easily accounted for the Tigers in the lightning interrupted shortened match at Mars Stadium in Ballarat.

  • VOTES: Richmond

Kozzy Pickett was the man of the match last week and has a vote lead over backup ruck Max Heath who didn't play this week and 5 votes over former Saint Jack Steele. Who gets the votes in this weeks shortened match win over the Tigers? Your votes please. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.

It's Game Day and the 2026 AFL Premiership season is almost upon us as the Demons take to the field for their final practice match before the first ball is kicked in anger in 16 days time. What are you expecting to see from the Dees today as they take on the Tigers at Mars Stadium in Ballarat?
