GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs GWS

Featured Replies

Clarry responsible for that goal -  just take the tackle and don’t release ball back to GWS in the middle of ground

I love Oliver but his brain fades have been horrific today, turnovers galore.

Oliver is about his stats

Petty has been very good today.

It's there to be won.

McDonald out BB in... Please!!!

He’d be a lot better as #2 KPF with Frittata #3. Weid might sneak in as #10.

Well someone's got to try there's no one else

....in the sense that it goes straight past them, over their head, to the opposition. It wasn't happening as much earlier in the year.

Brayshaw useless

Mindset problems coming out of our eyeballs. When we control the game we show no Intent to score. Everyone’s too worried about spacing, system etc. the instinct is on holiday. The start of the game they couldn’t get near it and a good side would be four of five goals up. But we just jogged around making sure our systems and structures were in place.

How is that not 50m

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
