CASEY DEMONS: Rd 12 vs UWS Giants

Recommended Posts

There is no official market yet for this week’s game between Casey Demons and UWS Giants - at this stage the time venue have yet to be announced and the odds of the game taking place are not very good.

Bad news for the players lining up for promotion to the AFL.

The following teams have a bye

Aspley, Box Hill Hawks, Gold Coast Suns, Port Melbourne, Werribee, Williamstown

A game against Port or Willy would be nice

We do not play Port all year and are scheduled to play Willy in the second last round.

MFC/Casey needs to make it happen.

One game in 6 weeks is not good enough

How can the MFC/Casey make it happen, they could request it but there is a big chance it would just fall on deaf ears. The revamped VFL is just a complete joke.

In the grand scheme of things, it would now seem to have been a very bizarre year to create this wider competition.

I have been saving this for nearly 9 months now. Who ever thought it was a good idea to start an interstate competition in the year of Covid certainly does belong it the rocket scientist club.

The VFL comp is hopelessly compromised from a ladder perspective. Just make it Vic only for the rest of the season and let's move on

Would you please stop with sane ideas DJ. Talk like that will never get you a job at AFL!

I hope you are correct Jack, because this these fixtures are not only compromising Casey, but also the Melbourne Demons.

Would surprise me if all the Giants VFL players were here in the bubble. They have jobs outside football.

Perhaps they will be allowed top up players

One of the Casey boys, George Grey played as a top up player for the GWS reserves side last weekend.

Who is on top of the ladder via vfl flashscore Bulldogs 1st followed by Southport, Casey then Box Hill . SCOREPRO 1st Bulldogs followed BH Hawks, Southport then Casey . 2021 Vfl mens Casey 1st Casey fpllowed by Bulldogs, Southport then Willamstown.

At end end of the year being 2-3 games down is that going to cost us top spot? (assuming we are undefeated). Perhaps at the end of the season the VFL staff are waiting for another covid lockdown. The reserves comp. is a joke. Casey didn't need a bye last week , they could have played another team with a bye. Perhaps that doesn't make sense to the Vfl. Senior teams need to  give there listed players a run and the players need run to prove they are worthy of senior selection sometime soon.

Are the lights good enough there?

I seem to recall the training lights were ordinary..

The lights are fine. Night games have been played at Casey Fields for at least ten years.

I hope some Demonlanders can make it down to report on the game (I’m working).

This team may well have beaten our senior team in the Neeld years. (I'm not sure whether that says more about this team or the past).

2024 Player Reviews: #8 Jake Lever

The Demon’s key defender and backline leader had his share of injuries and niggles throughout the season which prevented him from performing at his peak.  Date of Birth: 5 March 1996 Height: 195cm Games MFC 2024: 18 Career Total: 178 Goals MFC 2024: 1 Career Total: 5

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury. Strong marking youngster who plays forward and relief ruck, continued to make significant strides forward in his career path. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres
