Obviously there won't be an issue with crowd numbers assuming no more outbreaks. Does anyone have information about sale times? MCC and other members?

I am hoping if we have reserved seats we can just access those seats again with the electronic membership.

Imagine they'll wait until midweek announcement re: restrictions easing before tickets go on sale.

either way imagine there will be an increase in attendance and given the fact its GWS we should all be sweet.

MCC just said they are waiting on Govt. confirmation of the capacity number.

All I want for XMAS is seat in the bottom part of the top of the Ponsford stand.

I am seriously going to go  crazy if i have to watch any more live games with Daaarcy or Bwiaaan calling them.

Tickets on sale 1100 am

MCC toomorrow 300pm

No obvious announcement  just happen to open Ticketek

Is this correct?

AFL  1100 am today

Club 1.00 today

MCC 300pm toomorrow

Did it mention if reserve members would need to go through ticketek to reserve their seat? Or if they would just have access to their regular seat?

I also didn’t receive an email as a reserved member…

We haven't had a home game in Melbourne for 7 weeks. The club can't just assume that everyone is across what the current rules are given that they are changing by the week, if not the day.

The club website is typically useless - see below.

Do we need to book tickets? Can we use our reserved seats? Does anyone know what is going on?

I never got an email either,     slack

it's only lvl 2 members at 1pm

lvl 1 members at 3pm

non reserved seat members at 5pm

Just got an email to say tickets go on sale at 3pm for our membership level (level 1 reserved seating). So if anyone didn’t get the email but is in the same category of membership, 3pm it is.
I think those with reserved seats on level 2 can buy tickets at 1pm

That's right

They seem to be working off 25k capacity again as it was trickier than expected to get tickets in the AFL Members this morning. You will definitely need to book tickets.

To be fair at 25,000 vs GWS I expect very few will miss out. 24980 Melbourne fans. 20 GWS fans.
If as expected the limits are increased on Thursday they will release more tickets. But I applaud them for letting priority members get tickets early. It’s too annoying not being able to organize your weekend until much later in the week.

Were there many Dee supporters sitting in the AFL members last week V's Essendon?

That will probably provide a guide on how full the AFL members will be on Saturday, and I'm tipping it won't be anywhere near full.

I don't get it tho - didn't the government say last week there would be 85% capacity this week? What's changed?

Not too many, MFC don't have many AFL Members at all, maybe a couple of thousand - yet I couldn't get more than 5 seats together this morning (had to split my booking of 9 people in 2) and could only get seats undercover in M24 (I generally like to sit in M18/19 on the wing)

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
