  • Demonland changed the title to WELCOME TO DEMONLAND: Daniel Turner

For 192cm that frame does not look just 79kg to me. Unless it is just the broad cheeks fooling me, he looks pretty solid.

Interesting he was available.
Sounds like he should have been higher on the list of a few teams.

Who?  can someone post some details as I don't have a tweetery account....like height, weight and how tall..

A great kid who's been playing for the bushies and Albury Tigers alongside our very own Daniel Cross and Jeff Garlett.

An intercept defender who reads the play extremely well. The fact he's played against men puts him in the frame at some stage this year.

192cm 79kg.  But I saw him before lockdown and he's much heavier than that

Scroll back to the start of this thread and read the first post which details both Turner's height and how tall he is.

192cm, 79kg and ummm, 192cm

Key defender at 192cm & 79kg’s is a stretch.

Maybe he becomes a third tall in the Tomlinson mould, albeit 2cm shorter

The way things have been with the reduction in departments and less opportunity for players to show their wares it would be fabulous to have inside info. Has smokey written all over it.

Ok, so I guess we've now seen what the coaching team sees as the weak point (depth wise) of our list. Declase is a mature body, and bloody hell anyone who can roost a goal from inside the center square gets my attention.

Turner is more the style/age of player I thought we would chase. A young "late developer"

Don't know anything about them so won't get excited, but based on our recent recruiting efforts, maybe we should all smile a bit.

#10 Daniel Turner

A wall in defence for Murray Bushrangers Turner took plenty of intercept marks throughout the game and despite his 191cm frame he played above his height. Turner has been one of Murrays most consistent players proving to be a big obstacle for the opposition with his courage to sit in the hole or infront of key forwards to stay strong and take big intercept marks. Turner finished the game with 18 disposals and 8 marks with plenty of those being intercepts as the mid-season draft prospect stakes his claim as one of the better defenders in the NAB League.

Daniel Turner from Albury, Daniel tried out for the Under 17s and missed out but he’s since grown and got a lot fitter. “He will probably play key back for us even though he plays mid at his own club, he’s 194cm and a really good contested mark and a strong kick so we think he’ll have a really good year.

A couple of comments from Aussie Rules Draft Central

Midfield skills at local level combined with a natural intercept game is a good combination. The kind of late bloomer who might've got a call up to higher levels last year in a normal season too.

I like mongrel.

He's your typical country lad.

Aggressive in the air and and strong one on one. Likes to peel of and take a good intercept mark but his reading of the play is one of his strengths. As I said before, pretty courageous as well.

He's been mixing it well with the Albury Tigers seniors who are currently sitting top. They breed them really tough down there and he's a bloody tough young fella.

Sounds like a backup for Lever.

Love your work dazzle. Always appreciated.
