Kozzie needs to get involved, as does Big Benny Brown.

Gawny seems mentally off.

Trac needs to sharpen his mind.

Our trademark, crazy, over-the-head handballs are anxiety-inducing.

Chandler deserves some slack but he’s a mile off it. I can’t remember an involvement that was a positive one.

Meanwhile Weid and T Mac in the side is a thing of beauty.

Really enjoying Weid's contribution at the moment. He's hanging on to his marks, which is an excellent sign. Can't wait to see the boys get around him when he kicks one, which is inevitable.

TMac has been immense, again. I'm stoked for him.

Carlton getting more possessions.

Jordan and Trac need to get going .

Weid is still  2 grabbing almost everything.

Would transform his game if he could trade his hands for Casboults.

Raining all thru half time and looks to be getting heavier from my spot on level 2

We are playing middling football but so are they

Salem the only clean user

These three were not great last game either.

Yes over the head to no one, Quite a few players not in the form they were a few weeks ago.

All the numbers are going to Brown, need to be smart kicking inside 50, if we can do that, we win this by plenty.

one too many talls if you ask me.. brown goes out. fritsch needs to tackle and chase. chandler not going great. loving weed’s work.

As usual, if I only looked at the match day thread, I'd assume we were 30 points down.

We'll probably win but far from convincing. The dogs and Lions will give us a bath if we play like this against them.

OK but it's our backline and TMac keeping us in front, quite a few need to lift.

I hope Sparrow is good. We are missing Viney.

Like last week we've got a fair few players that need to lift. Midfield isn't all that inspiring right now. It starts in the middle and we've just gotta win some contests, things will flow from there.

Wouldn't mind seeing Petracca go forward, Neal-Bullen go into the middle. give us a bit of a different look

Hopefully May accidentally crunches Mackays shoulder again this Q

Need to do something.

Just wondering are people allowed to seek shelter under cover during the rain or are they forced to remain in their seats?

  • GAMEDAY: Essendon

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
