Marvel is free on the Sunday but MCG has Essendon v Carlton.

Melbourne North is much more interesting than those nonentities

So they’ll still cop a monumental thumping, only now they won’t have as far to travel to lick their wounds.

Would much rather play them at the G than that [censored] hole Launceston.   Looking forward to this game turning into a big percentage and confidence booster for the team.  Would really love to stick it up North.

Marvel would be perfect.  We play great there and finally a dry deck for us to kick a mammoth score.

I said in another thread that I thought Melbourne supporters would be humble if we went on a Richmond-like run. Well, I was probably a bit naive looking at the arrogance of a few of these posts.

FFS, after where we've been, you'd think we'd always respect every opposition we play. Apparently not.

I wouldn’t risk going to Tassie lest another one or even two Covid cases (!) sees you stuck there. Imagine that. The horror...THE HORROR.

As that famous footy scribe Marcus Clark wrote ‘For the Term of his Natural Life’.

North have lost most games this season by ~50+ points.  If we are not expecting to and planning to demolish them, we are effectively loosing ground on %to every other team in the comp.   Bulldogs are stitting above us on the ladder at the moment largely because of their dismemberment of North.  Want to see us get ruthless in how we go about putting away the rubbish teams of the comp.

Personally, I've sat through the receiving end of enough thrashings over the years, that I'm going to enjoy whatever dominance we can achieve while it lasts.  That 100+ point win we had over Carlton a few years back was very enjoyable.

norf might not get back from wa

I was fearing that might occur and we get shafted again and lose momentum.
Last years stuff up whilst not any excuse, didn’t help the cause with having to squeeze games in to a tighter time frame.

While I agree we need to be prepared to win anywhere, I'm also not at the stage where I'm happy to give up any kind of advantage.

Playing North in Melbourne instead of Tassie is a win for us. They play well in Launceston.

I do feel bad for our Tassie supporters, though.

I don’t care where we play them as long as the game goes ahead. The last thing we need is yet another interruption to our season and having to cram this game in before finals.

Also lol at the arrogance here. Nothing would be more Melbourne than beating Richmond tonight and then losing to Norf next week.

Do we play North again..

if so beware the switch

If so then it is unacceptable that our home game against them is at Marvel. Surely they can't play 2 home games against us in a year. If so then next year we should play them twice at the G.

More likely they switch one of their games later in the year to Tasmania. We only play them once this year unfortunately.

If BB plays well for Casey today and the game is in Melbourne, you would think he plays.

But then again who knows?

Just took a big pack mark and goaled from about 35.

Chest mark same spot another goal.

Think he has 3 at least before half time.

He’s got a 14-4 record at Blundstone for 35 goals - he plays well there.

Thats exactly what i was thinking.Have we ever won down there.

If we win  tonight i would rest Oliver or Pettraca and May against NM.

Pettraca will snooze off.

I think we owe Norf a few years of arrogance as pay back for their horrid 16 game win streak over us. And for the years of Boomer Harvey nightmares.

I can only speak for myself when I stress that there was not even a skerrick of malice in my comment. It was meant to be humorous. Granted, it wasn’t that funny; pretty ordinary in fact. Nonetheless, it was not said with ill will. I actually really like North and sincerely hope their fortunes change soon. I also like Tasmania. I need to say this since I may or may not have likened Tassie to being with Colonel Kurtz in the death-ridden jungles of Cambodia, and I wouldn’t want anyone to take it the wrong way. ?

I’m a Dees fan, FFS. “Humble” is my middle name.

Game will be played in Hobart folks unless this outbreak really starts spreading.  Checked the tas-gov covid site and it’s only from certain hotspots not all of Perth. Friends have a Perth friend arrive today and did not need to isolate.

Yep. It’s going to blow. The guy walked around for 5 days not realizing he was contagious ?

I am waiting to pay back so many opposition supporters for years of humiliation and torment.
In 1988 I was locked in a room with 4 Whorethorn Supporters for the entire Grand Final and only let out once the Cup had done the full lap.

I was also continually reminded of the year before....
That is ONE example.

I hate 17 other Clubs and it’s about time the MFC felt the same way
