44623, that's a 200 jump in the past 2 hours

I finally got around to renewing my MCC/MFC membership this afternoon. That’s our fourth for the household.

Girl I spoke to said they’ve been very busy.

R U OK old Dee?

Other than the problems of the ageing process I am fine Paul. Sadly you reach a point where something's are more important than others. With the virus and others things, going to the G is dropping in desirability.

No, but your money, that's another matter.

Fair enough Old Dee. My Dad died late last year, so this is my first season without him, and it has taken on a melancholy tone as a result. But I must say, I did feel perked up after a couple of beautiful goals by the boys on the weekend, accompanied by the roar of the crowd, and Dad would have approved and felt likewise.

I hope when covid is sorted, and you feel safe, you can return to the G, so one day we can enjoy us lifting that elusive cup..

I thought of my Dad last Sunday night too. Long gone, he saw most of our flags in person and he'd have loved that performance.

The level of membership is getting near the point where they don't need me any longer. 50k and a good results year in 2021 and I will be faced with a big decision.

WHAT KIND OF TALK IS THIS??

2 more to the tally!

Finally got my twin daughters' first memberships finalised, after a reasonably complex scenario was handled with aplomb and relative efficiency by a particular individual down at the membership department. A great customer experience.

With their packs unlikely to arrive for their birthday next week, the club says they'll send birthday cards in lieu of the delay - let's see if they come by then! In any case, I can't wait to take them to their first game at the G - maybe Queens Birthday!

But my true thanks goes out to @roy11for his thoughtful generosity and getting it all happening - cheers mate ??

My dear departed sister used to say that the difference between being a follower and being a supporter is Membership. Come on all you followers... Become a true Demon supporter with a club membership.

Just someone who the ageing process is catching up with, somethings become way less important than they used to be.

That is a very good total For 2021 considering all the negatives at present.

It is only round 6 this week. If we win against Richmond this Saturday night. This will present a great opportunity to get to get passed 55,000 Members for this year.

45,221 is the latest figure on the club website.

I'd be happy with 52,000ish this season.

If we can go deep and go on with the job next year we should be able to push for 55,000-60,000 in 2022.

That's another 10 -15k if we win Saturday night perhaps 5- 10. Without that 15 looks a big ask.

It's another 7k given we just hit 45k.

Ok my mistake. I think we will struggle to get beyond 55 next year even if we finish top four this year. We Don’t have big numbers of supporters.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
