Out - Hibbo, O Mac, Hannan

In - Lockhart, Fristch, Harmes (playing mid or HF)

Tomo, May and Lever enough talls at the back against the swans

Out: Oscar, Hibberd

In: Fritsch, Harmes

Harmes to play through the midfield, don't need him down back with Rivers in the side.

MEMO TO ALL:

I, and I assume most people here, visit this site to read about and discuss FOOTY. In particular the DEMONS. And in this thread, the discussion is intended to be about the PLAYERS and what TEAM our beloved club will field.

Can we please stop with the [censored] Covid blame-game [censored], it’s just exhausting. Please shut up, unless discussing the above, or move the dog-chasing-its-tail nonsense to another thread or another platform altogether.

Thanks in advance,

D.A.G

Pretty much spot on for my changes, no match up for Oscar so he goes out. Jetta instead of Lockhart is a chance, he was given a positive mention after the scratch match.

After a stirring win like that I think they’ll try not to ring in too many changes.

Anyone know if the weather in Cairns will be as oppressive as Darwin?

26 degrees with 80% humidity at kick off. And we have to all it all again 4 days later. Very concerned we'll either drop a winnable game in Cairns or put in a listless display against GWS (as per Port game). These blokes are fit, but can they overcome this fixture cram?

I'm giving this side an absolute out/excuse if we miss finals. Alice - Cairns - Cairns in 9 days while other sides have mostly stayed in QLD.

Bulldogs - 10 of their final 12 games in Surfers or Brisbane

St Kilda  - 9 of their final 12 games in Surfers or Brisbane

North - 11 of their final 12 games in Surfers or Brisbane

Brisbane - Will leave QLD twice for the entire season FCS!!

This season is a bit of a video game if you ask me. Just make it up as they go.

I'm not giving this side any excuses whatsoever. If we make finals Goody is safe if we don't, he needs to go! Along with some underperforming players PERIOD! No more what ifs, shoulda, coulda, It's pure and simple. We have an excellent injury list, we need to be canny in selections and ring in rotations. ALL GAMES ARE WINNABLE and we need to consolidate! No more Bloody excuses!

I’m with you on no excuses. That should be printed on the wall of our changing rooms wherever we play.

But barring us losing the rest of our games badly Goodwin will be coaching us next year so you should probably just get used to that thought.

Every game is winnable, and yeah other teams have had it softer for travel but we have had a close to full strength list to choose from every week. Missing finals from this position would be embarrassing.

We don't need another tall.

Also, we need to replace Hibberd with a defender, not someone who plays on the left wing.  Mind you, and just to be balanced, I'm not sure I'd want Michael O'Brien playing on the right wing, either. Not everyone born in Ireland makes a good footballer.

Much more pleasant than Darwin. Around 65%humidity and 23 at kick off is typical for this time of the year.

It can be windy during the day due to the trade winds but these drop off at night

Of course there is the cane toad problem

The sauce of my sauce (let's call him 'the concentrated sauce') informs me that Bennell knows he wont get another senior game until he tests his legs at 100% pace. Seems loathe to run at full speed lest he have another breakdown. Might be psychological fear, or could be a real fear of further injury. Not exactly groundbreaking, but interesting intel nonetheless

Must say in the games I've watched he never really hits top gear.

My sauce is impecable and a true gentleman.

Any news regarding a contract for next year?

Pickett out.  Didnt replace him with a small forward, but we should beat Sydney regardless.

Where will Joel Smith play  when O Mac/May/Lever are still in the team?

Hibberds replacement by the looks of it.

i believe it should be

B: Tomlinson    OMac     Rivers

HB: Salem        May         Lever

C Langdon.      Petracca  Harmes

HF: Fritsch.      Weideman Melksham

FF: Spargo       Brown.     ANB

R: Gawn          Oliver         Viney

INT: Jones Brayshaw Smith (FWD) JWagner

But i can see any combination of Harmes Tomlinson and Smith in any half of the ground except Smith in a wing

It was Oscar Wilde that said people are either charming or tedious. There is no question Picket Fence where you fit!

You've posted the same crap all year. Give it a rest FFS!

2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best.
