I think it’s going to be a slog the entire game and will ultimately come down to who kicks the highest score. Pies by 37.

Oh ye of so little faith!

I wish the commentators would stop banging on about how injury free we are, my MFCSS is telling me we will lose a couple of players with two minutes left.

Yes, that would be me. Keep your mouth closed until the siren goes.

Collingwood are missing Stephenson, DeGoey and Cox. Three players that are at least worth 7-8 goals between them on average against us.

Replace this and our back line can mostly just focus on their danger forwards in Miochek and Elliot who we can nullify.

No Howe will allow our forwards to thrive and not worry about them dropping back and playing the loose intercept mark. We will be able to get to more contests and bring the ball to ground for our smalls to go to work.

If we don't win this by 5+ goals I'll be surprised.

Bumppppppp

Just airing the Wolf Blass grey!

The biggest improvement for us today is our efficiency inside Fwd 50. The big forwards are flying and crashing packs. The small's are staying down and feasting on the loose ball and tackling pressure. The kicks coming inside 50 have been measured and to the advantage of the forwards from our mids. Outstanding effort, Go Dees!

Won every quarter

Pruess has been serviceable. His spot is Gawne replacement and has played it to a tee. Grundy is often touted as best ruckman in league but against a 3rd in line he looked average

16 goals pt 1 over yr last 3 final qtrs

If Brayshaw wasn't coughing up half his disposals he'd be close to BOG tonight

Yeeeees

56 points as the song rings out

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
