Full sentence.

Noise of Affirmation. Yesterday's match was the 47th time West Coast have received more free kicks than the opposition in games umpired with Dean Margetts, 7 times both teams have received the same amount of frees and 15 times West Coast have received less free kicks than the opposition.

If thats not corruption and match fixing then what is?

Margetts inspires them to play fairly. When they see him in the middle their faces light up with resolve to play exactly to the rule book.

Well I know its only half way through but Gc having a crack. Would be a great upset for us.

Go Gees.

Not sure that Suns being only half a game behind us is a great result for us.

Sure it opens up overtaking Richmond but there's no difference in where a team finishes in 4-8 as at present they are all Melbourne teams.

Is Lynch going to get a week at least, for his third punch behind play, putting a guy down and out of the play?

Of course not ... he plays for a big club, so that's ok.

Well that's the end of the Suns... 2 points from 5 matches

Interesting tactics from the Tigers...played the boundary and rarely tried to switch or go inside.

Shades of a team not confident in its abilities. Key forwards and big men keeping them in it.

Dusty had a quiet night.

Tigers would need to improve to get to the big dance.

Agreed and at the same time Collins is making a name for himself

The cynic in me says that one could be forgiven for thinking that the AFL would "loooove" to have two QLD teams in the Finals seeing that's where many of the games will be played

Margetts is a self proclaimed Eagles supporter who has regularly attended their training sessions. This is a known fact in Perth. The Eagles supporters know it. Everyone seems to know except the AFL.

Hardwick is taking over from C. Scott on the coaches whinging ladder.

If its not ops free kicks, its offensive remarks about Syd ? defence tactics and now its shooting off because the media dares take his protected little darlings to task hardwick-lashes-out-at-lynch-critics-says-richmond-targeting-should-stop

He takes quite a swipe at our Schwartz:  "They should have a good, hard look at themselves as I guarantee a few guys making comments, and I'm looking at David Schwarz here – I played a grand final against this bloke and 20 minutes into the game he was crying, so he should have a look at himself at some stage."

Nasty, Nasty, Mr Hadwick.  I guess a leopard never changes its spots.

Tbh, that is pretty stupid and pretty low for an AFL coach to shoot off at the mouth like that.

They have become mighty smug and entitled at Tiger land.  IHope they go out in the Elimination Final.

Edit:

Update:

damien-hardwick-richmond-tom-lynch-david-schwarz-comments-melbourne-vs-essendon-2000-grand-final

"But Schwarz told Foxfooty.com.au he wasn’t concerned with the comments, which were cut out of the press conference video clip on Richmond’s website".

Club embarrased by their coaches comments.

Very Ordinary comment there from Hardwick.
he is backing himself into a corner here

That same Grand Final we had guys in Hospital before the game was over, and that does not include Troy Simmonds

I reckon Ox will go ballistic when he hears the comments.

It is a low insulting blow from Hardwick, to a player that was as tough as they come both physically and mentally to play thru his injuries.

Edit: classy response by the Ox:

“For Dimma to get personal, that’s his decision if he wants to do that...

“I’m a big boy. I stand by what I said and I didn’t take it personally what Dimma said. He might have remembered the Grand Final differently because he was a winner. It’s a long time ago and I haven’t watched it back...

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
