I thought you were a bit harsh on him but you were right he's not up to it and never will be, sadly we have quite a few that are not up to it.

Pickett       Jeff Farmer like.

Langdon    Good first up.

Gawn          was outpointed today.

Viney          Classy, Heart, courageous.

Spargo       back to basics.

Lockhart    Is getting better.

May             did his part.

Oscar           Better than bro.

Hibberd       not hard enough.

Fritch          must kick goals.

Petracca     played his role.

Oliver           look for someone.

Tomlinson   Forgive first up.

Jetta             must make adjustments.

Melksham     one goal  Hmmmmm!

Goodwin       must be wondering.

I’d love to know what was going on with Oliver and TMac - both of them looked absolutely knackered from the first bounce. They each had the look of someone who has been ill.

To be fair, he was pretty good against the Hawks in the last Marsh series game. Sadly though, the intensity went up another level and he wasn't able to cope.

Agreed, and Max too. They looked physically or mentally tired from the start.  I'm curious why?

A measured response joeboy... congrats for not going too hard on a bunch of young men who were cast into an impossible situation!

I think 'impossible' is a bit of a Steven Stretch.  Who was cast into impossible situations?  Travelling teams?  All teams?  Just the MFC?

If Melbourne accepted the Mission Impossible; I guess we can convince ourselves that West Coast thrived on Mission Improbable.  What we saw in that game was a replica of 2019's standard.

As for Joeboy's generosity...and against-all-odds predicaments....

Dom Tyson currently shaking his head, and thinking "didn't I dislocate my knee cap on camp horribilis and continued squatting, jogging, kneeling through incline and decline.  Now that is an impossible situation".

Joeboy, unlike Dom, I rush to this after every game.  This has always been the modicom of clarity and objectivity on this site.  If this is the new you, you might get more likes, but at the risk of selling your soul.

THE Summary of the 3 word is spot on But it is hard to play in a side that firstly has to counter elite disposal and organisation look again at the First Quarter we just Butchered the Ball and took wrong Options  our new Players also need some time to Adjust to our style exception Picket and Langdon

I would spend the next 8 weeks drilling the players on creating Space backing up another and use of the Ball BETTER one thing the West Coast Juicers have is a System we dont however we can  BY just drilling it in to the players remember we had more use of the Ball

I feel sorry for our Forwards but they too dont lead or organise correctly WCoast can be beaten if it becomes one on one .

Next Game be Daring Play Weidman Jackson Jones and Salem ( all can Kick)and persist  with them dont Play Tomlison on a Wing but down Back he could become elite with Lever and May play Petracca in the middle Oliver on a Flank Harmes as a tagger and Melksham as a defensive Forward Fritsch at FF

Kozzzy Pickett

I was super impressed in game number 1.  Hope the coaches don’t overthink how he should play.  Pressure. Tackle. Crumb. Attack. Kick goals.  That’s it  !

In 3 words...

Indeed did exceed expectations and can't believe his and Toby's   goal did not rate in the Goal of the Year.

Toby promising -and not our worst by any means.

Brown too fumbly and couldn't catch a cold Not strong enough in contest.

Langdon Great runner but really needs to uplift decision making to forwards as do most of Dees mids.

Tomlinson Often  got caught between The West Coast Speedsters. Let's see over longer period as great vs Hawks in Marsh 2.

Never seen less interest in this thread - reflection on this [censored] of a year not the thread - thanks joeboy

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
