THE ONLY THING THAT WILL SATISFY IS A PREMIERSHIP CUP AND I EXPECT THESE BOYS TO BE SO MOTIVATED THEY WIN IT IN JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't hold your breath MR. 2021/2022 maybe. No one goes from 17 to 1st in one season let alone the MFC. Return to finals in 2020 is the max. You can expect.

I can't make it as wife is getting her hair done and I'm on parebting duties, but can someone who is going;

1. Go into a long diatribe about our lack of success for the past 50 odd years;

2. Declare that Goodwin is stubborn, doesn't have a plan B and will he learn in the way that Hardwick and Buckley have.

3. Complain about the club 'pressuring' members into renewing membership to keep reserved seats.

Timely article in today's Age on Hawthorn's new facility at Dingley

"After recording another multi-million dollar profit Hawthorn say they are on track to build their elite training, administration and community centre in Dingley by the end of 2022, with close to $29 million already gained via fundraising to pay for the ambitious project.

The Hawks have declared the next six months as being critical to realising their vision as they look to secure planning approval and further funding for the initiative which is budgeted to eventually cost the club $110 million.

The club says the Kennedy Community Centre project will be transformative by establishing the premier sporting and community precinct in the south-east of Melbourne as they work towards realising their goal of winning 20 premierships by 2050 and two premierships within the next five years."

4. ask when we would stop hearing words and start seeing actions and when they answer, just scream "MORE WORDS!!"

It’s all about winning. Nothing else makes it.

Imagine if we stated that as our goal... the scary thing is we know they're not stupid goals for the hawks.

Absolutely. It’s just standard issue for Whorethorn. We showed them how to do it, and then lost it....

Staggering really

We train @ a paddock ... whilst pies train on a purpose build ground ..  I guess for all their $$ facilities it’s 1 flag in the last 20yrs so you need a lot of things to be right

Whorethorn get it right.
The Filth are a good organization, but they talk to much.
Whorethorn just do it. Look at that game in Canberra this year in the Snow. They go up there in short sleeves and win Comfortably. No fuss. Just get it done.
Meanwhile the MFC collapses for 12 months....

Ahhh! You’re an oracle. I get your posturing now ;)

Horrid, really, that two games essentially make or break our profit-loss margin. We are set for a loss this year.

The club took the high road and pulled out of the pokies. It claims it's in as good a position as ever but is selling assets and home games. We still don't have a home ground and just saw one of the most significant drops year on year in history.

Bartlett and Pert have a lot to answer for.

And the club's performance puts even more pressure on Goodwin to perform.

We have one good year and then revert back to garbage and financial losses.

I hope those in attendance [censored] grill them.

Someone please post something from the forum. Haven’t got much time left on my dinner break. Anything will do, what are the refreshments like?

Club made a loss in 2019.

My upgrade to a Grand Final guarantee membership didn’t cut it.

No Steve besides the poor results year they said both the Tigers Anzac Eve and QB games were away games in 2019 which had a big influence on financials. Also said that loss was covered from money in the bank so our debt has not increased.

Would it help if we lobbied to have Gotchs Paddock rebranded as Gotchs Oval?

Interesting that IMO Pert and J M come over as well as speakers. They sound like they know what they are talking about. Our coach hmm not so much. But perhaps I am just biased.

It’s pretty easy to see, Whorethorn plan their Flag Assaults, whereas we think about it, hope and then get pushed out of the way.
Whorethorn want 7 Flags in 30 years, business as usual really.
when does The MFC start fighting...Properly???

A question was asked of Pert did he think training their would cost us a flag? His Answer the Pies won while training there.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
