Thehardtackler 785 Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Grew up playing rugby. No wonder, he is not soft, like so many other AFL players are. 1 Quote
Sir Why You Little 37,450 Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 What happened last pre season? We always need this guy to kick goals. 2019 was just written off!! Quote

TGR 1,367 Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 You cant make strawberry jam out of treacle. He is too slow as a forward. His only hope is GWS Mummy type replacement. I like Preuss, but he is no 2nd ruck. Rhys Stanley is built much better for 2nd ruckman. Taylor Walker is a prime example of a forward that needs to kick 4 to warrant the ease that defenders can waltz out without pressure. We are paying for idiotic D-grade decisions. 3 Quote
Nelo 813 Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Next thing I’ll be reading is Oscar McDonald is looking to hit the gym over summer so he can compete with the big forwards. 1 3 Quote
chookrat 4,268 Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Pruessy is a character. Loved it when he manned the mark on the wrong side. 2 Quote
Vineytime 855 Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 Trim down, become more mobile, improve your tank and hold your marks big fella, then ??? 5 1 Quote

Mental Demons 136 Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 really sick of the BS the propaganda arm of the MFC churns out. AVB is over his injuries, Preuss can be an effective forward, Brayshaw better for a poor year, Goodwin can do the job.. etc The only heads that roll are the ones that we can afford to get rid of. They should start with the hyperbole riddled publicity department. Not worth reading until the team get on the field next season and prove something. The team is not helped by believing the BS and the expectation puts more pressure on them and makes supporter disappointment worse. Just shut up and get on with the job, we will all see the results. 2 1 Quote

I really don't know what you guys expect. Of course there will be these 'puff' pieces. What would you write if you were in the PR department? If they upset you so much, just don't read them. You know what they will say, so save yourselves the grief and don't look. 13 Quote

I would not build false hope, at this point there is nothing to write about. I don't usually read them, my issue is why are they paid to be written in the first place. I do not see a positive from them. Why does Demonland promote them at all? Is it just for those desperates that have blind faith that we can win a GF in the preseason? Quote
Sorry kids 635 Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 I have a goof feeling this bloke is fully committed to becoming a very good AFL player. I will be looking to see a new body shape over the next two years. 1 Quote

They'd get stick from elsewhere if they didn't. It is perfectly reasonable that Demonland 'promotes' them - just to bring to forum members attention what's being said by or about the team. 3 Quote
Superunknown 4,246 Posted September 19, 2019 Posted September 19, 2019 And in revelatory news Goodwin commits to picking players when it’s all falling to bits (craft) lolz totes soz couldn’t resist Quote
nosoupforme 3,085 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Preuss has the makings of becoming a very handy player and his improvement will come from holding marks. Period! That is his down fall. Suggest that a glove might help and if not try the sticky stuff on your hands, i am talking about superglue. He is in the right age bracket 24 and has time to learn his craft from the Master of crafts Gawny. There is great hope for his future. 4 1 1 Quote
Undeeterred 3,127 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 Here's an idea. How about recruiting a bloody forward instead. Quote

Straight Sets Simon 23,113 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 First it was playing Fritsch forward and now this, our coaching team really are at the cutting edge. 1 1 Quote
hemingway 7,633 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 When you look at the effective big guys in the comp, they are mobile around the ground and good in the air and on the ground. They also have a good footy brain. Braydon has some work to do. 1 Quote

I have no idea what the MFC did in that time. The lack of preparation on all levels is quite scary really Record Membership numbers and we are presented with a VFL side at best. 2 1 Quote

At the same time, we had a substandard list per se. Form and Injuries just made it worse.. You can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear. 2 Quote

Supermercado 2,806 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 And I bet you first bounce Round 1, 2020 he's lining up as first ruck for Casey not as a forward. If we're going to have a Reserves team it needs to be used for development, not to try and win an increasingly meaningless cup. 4 Quote
