And Viney just appears to be a smaller version.

Couldn't ask much more of Viney tonight: second for disposals and clearances, first for tackles (9) and I50's. He's at least trying.

I have said that all year and certain people on here have attacked me for it.

Something has seriously stunk since Preliminary Final Day last year, something apart from what we have been told.

Board Level, Club Level, Football Dept. could be any of those 3....

Um, yep.  Something wrong there.

“Fail to plan; plan to fail”.  Another game lost at the selection table

Was this the master coach’s shrewd plan when Max needed a well earned rest - play CP5 in the ruck??

And Preuss, whilst not a great player by any means, would have made mince meat of the Swans’ rucks, AND have given us a solitary tall forward option to at least hold their taller defenders accountable - but even though he won 1001 hit outs at VFL last week, .....?!

Fair enough but I was alluding to their similarities as players.
Both run headlong into tackles thinking they're big enough to break through, but aren't and can't.

Given the team we had on the park, I'm just not sure what people were expecting. Seriously. We had a midget forward line with 2 actual forwards in it, is the lack of conversion from I50's a surprise?

People should stop looking for clever reasons as to why we're performing badly. We have 17 players unavailable, including some really key players at both ends of the ground, and we're putting what is largely a VFL-quality team on the park. Surprise surprise, we're losing - and at times, losing badly.

We've won 5 games, 3 by less than a goal and play like this - then you post absolute garbage. Pathetic excuses can't cover up what a shambolic clusterf*** this club is.

After watching that presser I couldnt feel less confident than I do right now.

You have the players Goody?

Sure as **** didnt look like it to me. We were abysmal against a team coming off 5 loses.

If he is in the seat come round 1 next year the torch absolutely has to be on him from rd 1.

No ifs, ands or buts.

He did play well despite his inaccuracy and it was a bad loss amongst many this season. To feel like that there must be something more bothering him.

Totally miss the point. Our list is abysmal and injuries are a pathetic excuse for 50 years of failure.

Yeah bit like how Richmond and West Coast are down the bottom of the ladder for contested possession.

Most overrated stat in the comp and both those teams are proving that.

Besides handballing to a teammate 5 meters away and whinge at every single umpire decision, he is simply not a player that hurts opposition at all. It's no wonder teams dont tag him, plus he is nothing short of a arrogant sook.

Needs a reality check and his ego set back in place over the pre season.

Were they on Holiday mode tonight?

I certainly  need a holiday away from watching this crap what an insipid performance. They are really doing my head in.

Sorry boys no time off for you just do the hard yards for the preseason and let me have a holiday well away from the lot of you.

I need to book myself for some brain therapy as to help me forget this disastrous season..

VINEY is more interested in reposting Instagram stories from his wedding than captaining this football club. He is a spoilt [censored] that hasn’t never had to work hard to get where he is. He fooled everyone with his aggression at the ball early in his career and the whole football world now sees that he is poorly skilled and at his size, is no longer a physical presence. His leadership skills are non existent and his appointment as co captain drove a wedge between the old firm and his crew. It’s plain and simple. He is a prickly customer with poor interpersonal skills and cannot articulate anything real. He is not the captain and should move aside next year

Your opinions on statistics does not give you the right to call a champion player for our club a f.log.

Possessions yes, disposals no: eg handballs at the feet of a player, kicks along the ground., goals missed.

Did what I thought was the right thing and made an effort to take myself to the MCG on a cold and rainy (at times) night. I was not rewarded with the same effort from the team I have supported for so long. They looked like they had all mentally checked out of this season already and were planning what they were going to do on their holidays.

Thank you Melbourne. Thanks for ruining my night and the whole year. Merry Christmas everybody.

There appears to be absolutely no pride in most of these players apart from Gawn, Lewis, Fritsch, Melksham, Viney and Frost. Brayshaw kicked it long straight to opposition players meters in the clear on their own. Has the concussion addled his brain more than we supposed? Jones must retire, he’s utterly lost it.

Normally at the footy I’m yelling and screaming and giving it to umps or whatever, tonight I was just embarrassed, it was the most inept performance I’ve seen in a long long long time, I can’t even remember being this embarrassed before. Neeld years we were young and list was inept, we have some very good players at the moment, few that have been all Australians, one that came third in Brownlow last year. What the hell Goodwin has done to these players I just don’t know, there’s at least 6 in tonight’s team that won’t be there next year but they’re playing with no confidence no heart no nothing, it has to be the coach, he doesn’t get them playing for him, they’re pathetic, half the time tonight I had my head in my hands, just could not watch, they’re a fifth rate team, they need a new coach and a total cleanout!

That was complete rubbish. Most of the players were not even bothering to look as if they cared. They get paid to play the game they should take pride in doing the job a well a possible.
