Tom Brown just said we are offically linked to him as is St Kilda and Bulldogs.

- Also said its Hawthorn and the Dees are 2 clubs linked to Brad Hill.

-Ed langdon also linked to the Dees.

Looks like we'll be busy come trade time! I like it!

Looks like the club isn’t so keen on Frostball in 2020. Interesting times ahead.

How did you make that assumption from what I just said?

Just came to post the same thing, hadn't heard about Tomlinson before, I like that move. Gives us an interesting dynamic with all of TMac, May, Petty and Tomlinson capable of playing at either end.

This must be the most aggressive trade period the Demons have ever been involved in

Glad to see we are on the attack well before this abomination of a Season is done

Tomlinson plays as a winger now.

Haven't watched GWS much this year tbh. Know he's got a good tank, but is he quick out there?

Yea i agree swly.

Goodwin wont survive with this squad he needs to make moves

Would be a great pick up. he's a lot like Tommy as a big guy with an incredible tank. i wonder where we'd intend on playing him?

I reckon if the GCS get pick 2 there is a good chance pick 3 might be involved in getting Langdon and Hill from the dockers

Just now, whatwhatsaywhat said:

He’s a wingman, albeit a very tall KPP-sized one

Thats three wingers we are keen on then - Langdon, Hill, and Tomlinson

Rationale is... we’ll realistically end up with one of them.

Tomlinson appeals as he should be cheaper from a trade perspective, salary perspective, and also has real flexibility in terms of the roles he can play

Well he would be because he's a Free Agent.

He was VERY unhappy at GWS when he wasn't getting a regular game and wanted to come home. He's a regular starting 18 player now though, so I'd be surprised if he came home when GWS could snag a flag within the next few years.

Sorry made that assumption based on thinking he was still playing mostly as a back man and not a winger and we have also been mentioned looking at Keath from Adelaide and Frost is yet to have a contract.

Usually there would be noise about contract status if a player was a slight interest of leaving, but yet we've heard nothing on regards to frost.

Personally I think he's a bit overrated.

Not a big possession winner, pretty much a vanilla footballer.

We weren't interested last time he was on the market, wonder what has changed.

St Kilda have been keen for a while.

Give me Langdon.

Another fringe player to clog our list. No for me.

Saints into Hill as well.

Actually they are probably into everyone.

I want Frost to stay.

Had his best year with us and can get better.

Saved a stack of goals this year and if he can eliminate a couple of mistakes a game, he is a very valuable player for us.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
