That interview with Viney...my god. He does not want to be there. If body language was any indication we are going to get pumped tonight.

I’m heading out for a nice dinner instead of going to the game. I’ve never felt this apathetic about the club, even during the Neeld years. This year is a pathetic mess.

I hope those that attend the match tonight get to enjoy themselves and watch a win, but it’s unlikely.

Silver lining is even if we win, we’ll still be behind Carlton and could get Noah Anderson with pick 2!

It's the apathy, isn't it. We have copied with [censored] and remained engaged for years. And we probably will still turn up. But something has changed a bit. We're not membership micro-waving depressives. But I reckon we're in trouble... Another session like this and members and sponsors will just not engage. A few good years in the finals and things would be different.

As the great PJ said, we just don't trust this team.

..

Viney looks and sounds like a beaten man.

Beautiful bullet pass to start the game. Now let’s see how our goal kicking is.

Viney sounds like we all feel. He is waiting for the season to finish. Also his shorts obviously shrunk in the wash and lack of finances mean he’s stuck with them until 2020 and he’s very uncomfortable.

Blow the siren, let’s all go home.

Fritta is a natural fwd.

Shame its taken so long though.

Oh yeas hes also a good said shot.

Nice to have a crumber up fwd in Lewis to.

Nice ghoal TrC.

Dees on.

Jesus Christ what do you call this Melbourne?

2018 called. They want their winning ways back.

Tracc on fire.  Involved in all 3 goals!

Reckon the saints are wishing they picked Tracca?

I love it when fans boo the goal review outcome. It’s a nice touch.

I'm playing some music alongside the online radio commentary.

"160 million dollar Chinese man" from the Ocean's 11 soundtrack just got us three of the coolest-sounding goals ever.

I'm gonna keep the funky rhythms going because clearly I've foud the answer to all our problems.

Ruck frees. What a joke. Has anyone got any idea when how or why they are paid?

Also why is our backline looser than a street walker on a Saturday night?!

Terrible defence (Lever). Should have been punched out. Cost a goal.

Well we aren't making finals so Im just going to sit back and watch the game and have no expectations. If we get thrashed well it happens if we win great. At least I won't have to watch Preuss drop simple marks.

Just a random thought why we are we the only club that doesn't have our name in our theme song? The pies have good old collingwood, geelong have we are geelong, richimnd have the tigerland words, anyway thats what this season has come down to when you are performing so bad. Just random things you focus on.

definitely deserves its own thread...

you never know it could be bigger than Jack Watts, Hogan..will he leave and the is Goodwin the guy.. put together

Personally I think it's time to ditch the jingoistic US theme song

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.
