WTF How does Oscar Mc Donald get a game on very average form at Casey and not playing last week?? Beggars belief!!

ANB double WTF sheeeit we Must be tanking? shocking!

Tim Smith did little last week and I was there!!

If Hore, Dunkley and Weeds are fit and named as Emergencies

FRIGGEN PLAY THEM!!

This is absolute Garbage MFC

Sheesh, Just ....Unbelievable really!

Thank Heavens I can't go , but we will be Flogged!

The Club decision-makers are obviously hell-bent on mediocrity. Something is very stupid about these selections and the circumstances with May on the ground late in the last game. The 'Ins' should be 'Outs' and the gaps in the team are widening. Is Goodwin (and Coy.) the right guy/s?

In-form Oscar?? When was that??

Truth! I'm sorry I missed in-form Oscar, he sounds pretty handy, unlike the spud who is never anywhere near his opponent/the ball.

I'll be sure to look out for him this week.

Yay. Another game, another loss. I will say right up until game time that I won't watch but I will.  Just like a rubberneck at a car crash.  I know I shouldn't look but I can't stop that morbid curiosity that we as MFC fans succumb to at our own peril.

Disappointing to lose May for this game as l was looking forward to him playing However never mind as Tim Smith will play his game and end up injured which will be no surprise. We will welcome back May next week for T Smith. One or the other is in or out.

Why can't Marty get back into the side? That is Bizarre!

This year can't  end quick enough. SPARE ME..............

Relax everyone. Omac is going to have his best month of his career and then help net us Ed Langdon for pick 20

Edited by John Demonic

I'm still stunned by this team (not in a good way).

Why are we doing the same things? I would have thought OMac is in the pile of 'tried, but didn't work out' decisions?

At this juncture of the season, being second last, we should be doing different things! Hell, play the mascot out back, I don't care, at least it's not the same cycle of crap.

It must be me, but I see a loss, the same guys go out, Wagners, ANB, etc, then we lose again, and they're brought back, like we've forgotten how poorly they played just a fortnight ago.

To be fair, at very rare times this year one of the Wagners did ok, but I can't tell which is which.

We should be trying things, and sticking with the kids, we can't expect them to play well after a game (like Dunkley). Hell, most of their mates aren't even playing well!

With Lever, Frost, Hibberd and Jetta in the side, you would like to think OMac will be a non-factor.  He can play the second or third tall role for us which will keep him, generally, out of harms way.  We know he is okay at most things so hopefully he can do that for us this weekend.

The other two outs aren't surprising, and I'm excited to see Baker back in the side, and I think Tim Smith straightens us up a little going forward more than a Preuss would.  I think Smith, Petty and Fritsch can work well down there together.

THANK YOU FOR THE HOPE!!

Hope that Oskar can gives us something as the performance at Marrara was about as convincing as Paul Rowland v Peter Hudson back in the dark dark ages...

Oh joy Omac is back.

Preuss still should be in the side to develop the chemistry with Max. I know Preuss form wasn’t great last week but most of team has been pathetic for the season so it makes no difference

Our season is dead so I don’t  see the point in not playing them together this season so that next season they can hit the ground running.

This season has been abysmal and an absolute waste of a season.

I cant wait for it to end. That’s how much fun our team is to follow.

He’s too slow to play against the saints, we need a smaller more agile team to match up correctly, they cut us to ribbons early this year,  dropping Pruess is the right call. Amazing JKH isn’t a call up, clearly his papers are stamped.

Weideman as an emergency... as the lady who I don't like says..... "please explain"

The shutters have been put up for the year... fine... but this is the team from hell

Get ready for a king [censored] whuppin from The Aints. Pick 2 is all but ours unless the AFL donate it to the Suns.

Which looks like it will head that way according to reports.

We have to delist a few players at the end of the year.  JKH, who is out of contract, makes sense as being one of those.  If that decision has been made then there is zero sense in playing him.  That's why they'll go with the likes of Baker instead.

Wow T Smith and Petty as CHF and FF. Indictment on our list management right there.

Oscar back = put Membry down for minimum 5 goals.

Again...

I would say 10 for Membry. What a ridiculous decision to have Omac in the side. I am not being anti him but he has done nothing to warrant selection. Would have kept Lockhart in the side.

Mate the way this season has gone and team selection I am struggling to have any faith in the coaches and their choices.

We are gonna get done over big

Posters said that last week, too.

We generally play Marvel well and the Saints, apart from getting a 'dead coach bounce' last week, aren't all that flash.  I can't see them smashing us or even getting close to doing that.

Hamstring 1-2 weeks

Nah .... just be changed on the MFC website to 4 - 6 weeks.

Incredibly Sportsbet have Demons as favourites. I've put a little something on the Saints.

I've backed against Demons most weeks. Needless to say I'm way, way ahead. Money for old rope!! (I hope I lose my money, but virtually never do.)

The hyperbole here is next-level ridiculous.  Save the bemoaning our loss until after the match.

Dees by 20.

There was a time during the current Melbourne cycle that goes back to before the premiership when the club was the toughest to beat in the fourth quarter. The Demons were not only hard to beat at any time but it was virtually impossible to get the better them when scores were close at three quarter time. It was only three or four years ago but they were fit, strong and resilient in body and mind. Sadly, those days are over. This has been the case since the club fell off its pedestal about 12 months ago after it beat Geelong and then lost to Carlton. In both instances, Melbourne put together strong, stirring final quarters, one that resulted in victory, the other, in defeat. Since then, the drop off has been dramatic to the point where it can neither pull off victory in close matches, nor can it even go down in defeat  gallantly.

  • CASEY: Footscray

At twenty-four minutes into the third term of the game between the Casey Demons and Footscray VFL at Whitten Oval, the visitors were coasting. They were winning all over the ground, had the ascendancy in the ruck battles and held a 26 point lead on a day perfect for football. What could go wrong? Everything. The Bulldogs moved into overdrive in the last five minutes of the term and booted three straight goals to reduce the margin to a highly retrievable eight points at the last break. Bouyed by that effort, their confidence was on a high level during the interval and they ran all over the despondent Demons and kicked another five goals to lead by a comfortable margin of four goals deep into the final term before Paddy Cross kicked a couple of too late goals for a despondent Casey. A testament to their lack of pressure in the latter stages of the game was the fact that Footscray’s last ten scoring shots were nine goals and one rushed behind. Things might have been different for the Demons who went into the game after last week’s bye with 12 AFL listed players. Blake Howes was held over for the AFL game but two others, Jack Billings and Taj Woewodin (not officially listed as injured) were also missing and they could have been handy at the end. Another mystery of the current VFL system.

The Demons head back out on the road in Round 10 when they travel to Queensland to take on the reigning Premiers and the top of the table Lions who look very formidable. Can the Dees cause a massive upset? Who comes in and who goes out?

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.
