I just want to know what we think we are going to do with Goodwin idiotic contract extensions if these sorts of performances continue?

Agree, but we have been miles off all year. Teams have also worked out our stoppage work and lack of leg speed around the contest.

if that's the case hit the boundaries and for wingman to fill holes in defense. goodwin is a stubborn coach. we play like millionaires but look like unemployed Arts graduates: no promise and no real skill.

Maybe  (national draft)... but is any aggression allowed in Neo conservatism.?  silly me. of course it is...   just look at the fine print and we will find it in there somewhere.

U Just need a magnifying Glass,  to look for it.    It'll be in there somewhere. depending on if its inline with the law of making money for the rich.

.

they all go up for a mark, spoil each other, have no crumbers at feet of packs, run into each others space, dont put themselves into dangerous spots or help the ball carrier. whats jeff farmer doing give him a job

who is our forward coach?

This is what happens when you have incompetence behind the wheel.

Roos and PJ needed to stay for another 2/3 years more than they did. Can’t change culture in a few years when it’s been poor for half a century (apologies to the late 80’s sides who put in).

No pride in that jumper out there. Simple as that.

Goodwin and Leadership have a lot to answer for.

Very stubborn.

What’s Goodwin doing on the bench anyway? I hate coaches being on the bench. Reeks of absolute desperation.

The only positive that I can find is that we are getting games into the new group of young players that will be needed over the next few years. To be fair- half the team playing today are just not ready for AFL yet and would not be on the ground if we did not have so many injuries. I’m referring to spargo, Baker, Lockhart, petty, wagners, etc

the only young one to step up is Marty Hoare

Petty ran out and then ran back off down to the rooms??

Wants to see just how bad we can be from every possible angle.

I would move heaven and earth to get Ben Brown. Our forwardline is an abomination alongside the rest of our team.

Agreed Jaded. Trade out both McDonalds, bring in Brown and pick up Coniglio as free agent to rotate wing and inside.

Now Max is off shaking his wrist. Being attended by doctor.

This game plan is disgusting. The club ethos not too far off. Lick the ice-cream and get rewarded with a cold.

I watch Hore tear it up and play naturally. Goes back with the flight and eyes for the footy. This time next year he'll be like the rest of them. This game plan and style is pathetic. We want to call the MCG our own but never utilise it's full space. We don't put enough faith in the like of Oliver, Brayshaw, and Viney around the ball to then clear it out to space. Everyone in the team looks to the left or right for a shitty handball or chip kick. In doing so we constantly waste crucial seconds to get it to someone open down the field. By then, the opposition flood.

I'm over this rubbish. I'm over the coaching staff. We need a paid third-party investigation and be sure the right heads roll by the end of the season.

If he can shake it, should be aiming it at Goodwin.

Seems to be ok, I think..

Today is the day I stop caring.  Totally fed up!

the club has sucked all the energy out of me and they do not deserve the loyalty of people who have stuck thick for decades.

What a waste of membership for decades!

see yaa!!

Although i am sure it will be denied right now, there has to be some internal problems, and i don’t mean injuries.

This year has just been to “off”

The Real change in culture will begin when we get a home base.   and something tangible to play are hearts out for.  Not some flag...  but for feeling people.

People who feel really sad when things aren't great...  and people who celebrate Strong,  when the teams on-song...  Not a Fabric Flag

.

Good opportunities go begging. Don't suppose we could ever make the opposition pay for their misses

At least we won't start next year as the highest ranked champion data team ?

Unless you're looking at Clangers.  We're ranked #1 on that.

And dead last for disposal efficiency.

There was a time during the current Melbourne cycle that goes back to before the premiership when the club was the toughest to beat in the fourth quarter. The Demons were not only hard to beat at any time but it was virtually impossible to get the better them when scores were close at three quarter time. It was only three or four years ago but they were fit, strong and resilient in body and mind. Sadly, those days are over. This has been the case since the club fell off its pedestal about 12 months ago after it beat Geelong and then lost to Carlton. In both instances, Melbourne put together strong, stirring final quarters, one that resulted in victory, the other, in defeat. Since then, the drop off has been dramatic to the point where it can neither pull off victory in close matches, nor can it even go down in defeat  gallantly.

  • CASEY: Footscray

At twenty-four minutes into the third term of the game between the Casey Demons and Footscray VFL at Whitten Oval, the visitors were coasting. They were winning all over the ground, had the ascendancy in the ruck battles and held a 26 point lead on a day perfect for football. What could go wrong? Everything. The Bulldogs moved into overdrive in the last five minutes of the term and booted three straight goals to reduce the margin to a highly retrievable eight points at the last break. Bouyed by that effort, their confidence was on a high level during the interval and they ran all over the despondent Demons and kicked another five goals to lead by a comfortable margin of four goals deep into the final term before Paddy Cross kicked a couple of too late goals for a despondent Casey. A testament to their lack of pressure in the latter stages of the game was the fact that Footscray’s last ten scoring shots were nine goals and one rushed behind. Things might have been different for the Demons who went into the game after last week’s bye with 12 AFL listed players. Blake Howes was held over for the AFL game but two others, Jack Billings and Taj Woewodin (not officially listed as injured) were also missing and they could have been handy at the end. Another mystery of the current VFL system.

The Demons head back out on the road in Round 10 when they travel to Queensland to take on the reigning Premiers and the top of the table Lions who look very formidable. Can the Dees cause a massive upset? Who comes in and who goes out?

Wayward kicking for goal, dump kicks inside 50 and some baffling umpiring all contributed to the Dees not getting out to an an early lead that may have impacted the result. At the end of the day the Demons were just not good enough and let the Hawks run away with their first win against the Demons in 7 years.
