Sounds like Hannan and JFK (for anyone that cares) are progressing well and should be back by mid season at latest.

Jacquie will be surprised.

Oh for god's sake.

No, the thoughts and languishing hopes of long-term MFC supporters and members need to be heard, heeded and appropriately responded to; and if Goodwin and Pert (who both in my eyes have very little entitlement to the 'throne'  of credibility and its proximity to a protecting God as you suggest bing 181, and/or its status-only insulation) they must ultimately be seen as responsible for the amelioration of our current situation in Team management and/or its productive controls and outcomes, These two must be the drivers of both the present and the immediate future, and have unsuccessfully positioned themselves to be accountable.

I think he was on 3AW pre game last night can’t find link or what he said?

How about Tom Browne's "article": https://7news.com.au/sport/afl/toms-take-another-setback-adds-to-demons-800000-steven-may-debacle-c-77542

He says Goodwin, in his presser last night, confirmed what Tom said on Monday about May's injury setback.

Except, of course, Tom said on Easter Monday that May's not going to be back until July. Which is not what Goodwin said (Goodwin said 4-5 weeks from now, which puts us at late-May/early-June), nor is what the club said this week.

So he takes what he can get from Goodwin and tries to pat himself on the back. A word starting with f and ending with log comes to mind.

Meanwhile there are three different spellings of Weideman's surname in the one article.

Been reported on the Channel 7 pre-game today that May has had a major set back with his groin injury and will most likely not be back till July.

Goodwin said in presser he’s moving fine but won’t be back for 4-5 coz he needs to do some work, prob on fitness

How can anything on field be Pert’s fault FFS, drawing a long bow, teams playing [censored] so it must be Gary Pert in the CEO’s office, get a grip people, if Pert finds us a permanent place to live that’ll be his job done, that’s why he’s there!

Talk about severe over analysing. Bordering on indecipherable.

A full stop would also be useful occasionally.

6/10. Back to class!

What's that got to do with our gameplan, fitness, kicking or marking?

I wonder if he's doing some of that Hot Yoga stretching ?

Might be beneficial for him, looking at him.  I Wouldn't be surprised if he's a little muscle bound ?

And I couldn't find any ref to ANB, TMac and Hibberd.

Not wishing to correct you directly - just to have the discussion on interrupted preseason and current performance in the right context as surgeries are being quoted as excuses for players and the team (not by yourself).

The TMac injury is IMO common knowledge and don't know why it was missed. If you're less lazy than me you can trawl back through preseason training reports for the other two where they both spent a chunk of time in the rehab group. ANB's was brief but I recall Hibberd being longer and before Christmas. Neither had surgery AFAIK.

Jack Reiwoldt out for 6-8 weeks but luckily he snuck in one game against us.

The good luck of the Dees continues.

Out of breath just reading it.

Amazing how the club can accurately assess it as an 11 week-er. Guess they can’t bring themselves to just write ‘season’. Too embarrassing.

He’s the Southern Star Observation Wheel of AFL.

Luck is a word worth using in regards to May's injury, but so is diabolical.

What a massive fail he'll be in 2019. Let's hope he pays us back with interest in 2020.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
