Round 4 Non MFC games

Featured Replies

  • Tigers are without their big 4: Dusty, Rance, Riewoldt, Cotchin.  They play Port at Adelaide oval.  If Port play their 'control' game they will win.
  • Crows dropped Gibbs.  Big statement by the club.
  • Would be handy for the Saints to beat Hawks and Bulldogs to beat Pies but can't see it happening.
  • Sad to see Tyson dropped by North.
  • Hoping for Suns win over Blues and Lions over Ess, partly to see the Qld teams do well and partly because as I loathe the self-entitled, arrogance of Ess and Blues.

Results this weekend will go a long way to shaping the final 8.

Can’t see the Dogs playing as bad as they did last week, the scoreboard certainly flattered them in the end against the Suns. If they can stick with the Pies for the first 3 quarters they might be able to pinch it. Pies 1-3, will continue a great start to the round.

wins by North and Carlton would benefit us.

A win by Port over Richmond would make life interesting.

Collingwood v Bulldogs could be a great tussle.

Freo over Eagles would also make my weekend

Funny what one win can do. I have been checking all the other games this weekend to see who I think we want to win to ease our climb up the ladder.

Get a grip man we have won one game!

same here OD.

I think we need a chaos season (like our gameplan) where upsets are many creating a virtual log jam from top to bottom. ?

3 or 4 games separating top from bottom at the bye would be good.

So starting 1-3 do we need a really even season from the other sides  or do we need the first three to lose very few games ( the ones when we play them excluded )? Or perhaps both, a very even season except the top couple?

Hey really  all we need to do to is keep winning that solves everything.

So I have to confess, until yesterday I’d been sooking so hard about our crap start to the year that I had hardly paid any attention at all to the other games. I took a look at the ladder today and with a few exceptions, like Carlton being where they belong, it appears to be upside down. Brisbane 3-0, what the...? Freo 2-1? And a great deal of last year’s 8 have had slow starts. Going to be really interesting to see if by round 10, the early form has continued.

Most people would have said Collingwood have been playing well but if they lose tonight they will be 1 and 3. Same for Tigers if they lose against Port.

We have been terrible but we're not out of it by any means IF.....

  • footscray to surprise the filth
  • gw$ to lose to the puddy tatts at the taxpayer's stadium
  • bears to continue their run against the peptides
  • pear to knock off the tiggas
  • the future tasmania to beat the cows
  • meth coke to belt the jokers
  • gc17 to knock off carltank
  • aints to knock off poos&wees and continue their surprise season

gotta say, it's VERY nice to have all eight remaining games ahead of us after a win

I like Bullies @ the line -23.5. They always play well against the pies.

Eddie...I shake my head.

Were the spin doctors at work with the coin toss??????

it is the Robert Rose Cup so nothing amiss

Doggies vs Pies is a pox game. These two are appalling. And I thought we were a fumbling team that turned over like a pancake!

By what measurement is Darcy Moore an ‘elite defender’???

As Hansen would say, “please explain”

Terrible game.   Just terrible.  Most games this year have been poor, must be teams trying to get used to that 666 rule.

Dogs phart around too much on half forward line. They should be in front. The filth don't have their game anywhere near last years. Hopefully that remains.

Do you reckon the dogs could lend us Macrae for 5 or 6 years????

Naught on just marked against “elite defender” for a telling goal.

Go ? ?

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
