Drop Jones. 4 tackles and no defensive pressure for the year. Probably sulking about being put on a wing.

To be fair why the [censored] is he on a wing? He is slow and a below average kick.

Why didn’t they move him to half back, especially with Lewis injured? God knows we need some leadership down there.

The wings for us seem a wasteland for shitty or past it players. Or players we don’t know what to do with. See Tyson circa 2018.

It's time to have a serious look at players like Keilty, Baker, Petty and maybe even Preuss to see if and where they fit into future plans.

I'm not saying "play all the kids" nor am I suggesting playing them all at once, it's just time to start tinkering because it's obvious a number of players on the list are not going to be part of our future.

I'm very keen to see who plays well in the vfl this week.

Out. Omac, anb, Tom mac. He doesn't look fit. His strength is his fitness n workrate. Without it, he is a average footballer.

In. Petty, stretch, pruess.

Out ~

ANB - Frost - Oscar

In ~

anyone from Casey Benalla Euroa or anywhere who can kick handball and just possibly mark !

What's the point in naming ANB and Oscar as out. Goody absolutely loves these 2 spuds and will not in the world ever drop them.

Makes me physically sick knowing they will play next week.

ANB will be dropped

He was fphhurken hopeless tonight

The problem isn't so much the players we're putting on the park, but what they do when they get there. Hard to see them making many changes. Maybe time for Petty?

On the smaller SCG, I’m tipping us to win next week comfortably. It won’t mean much in the long run, but it will be something at least.

OUT: OMac, KK, ANB

IN: Petty or Kielty, Stretch, myself

IN: PETTY, KEILTY\T.SMITH (WHOEVER PLAYS BETTER), STRETCH

OUT: FROST, OSCAR, ANB

In -    Petty, Keilty, Stretch, Garlett, Preuss

Out -   ANB, O.Mac, Frost, KK, J.Wagner

TMac to the backline this week to play on Buddy.  And he might need to stay there until we get May and Lever back.

it makes no difference. it's just re-arranging the deck chairs on the titanic.

our structure is stuffed. We need more numbers back somehow. I reckon I could kick a bag against us atm.

As soon as the other team gets the ball they just stroll through and score...

The period in the 2nd Q where we looked ok coincided with Tommy Mac going off injured.

I would persist with Weid, it worked for a short period.

Drop Tommy or play him back until May & Lever come in.

Maybe Pruess as the 2nd tall forward/chop out for Max.

One more loss now, and we're toasted.  We won't get the confidence back in time to do anything.

It really feels like the gods are against us.

The AFL dioidn't want to change things too quickly via reducing rotations furhter so they go and do a 666... they could not have hurt us in particular, if they planned it.

Might be time for the Dees to take a look at Declan Keilty as a key defender. Third-year rookie and making good progress at Casey Demons under Jade Rawlings. Named to play against Box Hill Hawks on Sunday....

Weide isn't doing anything wrong its the supply which is killing him. he needs to know where to expect to run to.  he is being slaughtered by our mids going into f50.

I heard on ch-7 tonight after game,  that TMc had an injection in the ankle ?   he was running flat, like he had no endurance or power in his run.  Maybe this is why they were using him from the goal-square... and not up high.

... all our strengths of last year, are now our weaknesses.

This might be worth it in place of Oscar. while we wait for May to come in.  easing the running on TMc.

Frost will be better with TMc helping.

They should have tried Oscar forward for 10 minutes tonight,  to see how he shaped ?   too late now.

This. Rawlings left to get Casey to a grand final, while our defence wouldn’t get us out of a wet paper bag.

Oscar and anb out.

petty and stretch in.

If tmac injured then Kielty comes in.

"Then it clicked. Just as Tom McDonald hobbled from the field after rolling his ankle following an awkward landing in a marking contest, Melbourne's small brigade came to life." - AFL.com

We lowered our eyes, began locking it in, and found space in front. And then it unclicked . . . when Tomald returned.

We've seen the same thing happen with Hogan's absence in the past two years.

Out: KK and Tomald - send him to CHB if you want to keep him, can't be worse than his brother. And we could undoubtedly do with some leadership down back. Jones should join him there as well, and Fritsch who can jump and mark can play up front.

In: Keilty and Garlett

Changes for next week ?

Too vast a job...with far too little to choose from.

The three who need to go are ANB, Oscar and Jones.

Unfortunately, Jones being captain makes it nearly impossible for us to get him out of the 22, whilst I fear that Goodwin's stubbornness and favouritism means the other two won't be dropped.

I agree Jones is becoming a liability always  trying 2 bomb it long. Oscar needs 2 reinvent himself & play forward Frost either wing or not at all. I'm annoyed we sold the farm for Lever & May. May came 2 us unfit gets suspended & injured - he owes us big time. ANB fumbles & runs around like a headless chook..No offence Mr Fowler.

Changes ??

Out Melbourne....in Collingwood...they know how to play the game. We sure as hell don't.

I need to shower now...

Goodwin's 2 predictable he doesn't try 2 b innovative during a game it's a big negative

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
