Apart from Salem they can all be up for debate.

Just utter slop.

Out: Frost

In: May

Etc

I worry about Spargo after that game and it sucks for him. He does everything right, for a player about a foot taller.

let's be honest...there's not much at Casey.

Lewis and May back raise the question of who goes out.

Could Keilty get a game in place of Hoare?

Forecast for next Saturday is a maximum of 16....much better for us I hope !!

Preuss should have been played today if he was any good. Geelong are light on in the ruck department so Gawn should be sufficient.

Spargo has good footy smarts and I thought he tried today and did some good things.

As usual, when the whole team Plays poorly, it’s easy to signal out individuals but  Spargo was okay for mine. Just needs to remain in the game at times.

Tried to impact the game with numerous tackles but ball carrier still easily able to offload.

Cant fault his endeavour.

Too bloody short with average skills.

Enjoy your own opinion OD.

Its quite a way off on this occasion.

Drop: Weid

never ever play Petracca in the centre when  Weid is ruck.

Neither can play that role. They are both talented but hopeless.

I don't want to see Frost in the Seniors again. Salem can hold his head high, the rest were generally average/poor today. On field Leadership non existent. Jones was awful. Same one dimensional "bomb it long to a contest" game plan, with no evidence of Plan B. Out coached.

Both didn't have great days at all today, but you can't say they're hopeless.

Out - Viney

In- Anyone that’s fit.

Spargo was bordering on pathetic. As was Frost, Oscar and Hore. But the problem was the performance of the leaders Viney, Jones, TMac and Gawn.

May and possibly Lewis come in but it's going to be much the same next week.

Get rid of Oscar and Frost. They were both diabolical! May and Petty/Keilty comes in. Both of them are just plain shithouse and add nothing to side.

Hore is meh.

Jones won’t chase and incredibly casual dropped simple mark, when mark and captains goal may have kept us in it.

May, Preuss for Frost, Wagner

Lewis will be standard 21 Day hamstring recovery

Disappointing if so.

He's made for a16 degree game at Kardinia Park

KK could be an inclusion if he gets through the Casey practice game

Sorry, that may have read wrong. I agreed with what you wrote. I didn’t mean to imply you thought that, it was simply an extension of the narrative. Right spot, right time but struggles to influence.

Too many errors from Spargo, agree with you re the leaders, also why didn't anyone return fire with the aggression ?

May & Lever cant come in quick enough! Will change the whole dynamic / structure of our play.

Backline was an absolute mess today. Salem the only winner down back... could argue our only winner for the day. He was fantastic.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
