Paywall, can someone breakdown the main points of this article?

Freo are stalling up to 6 teams in trade movements;

I would think Adelaide would already have a deal in place with Gold Coast for Pick 5 or possibly Pick 3.

Freo are holding up Melbourne, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Adelaide and possibly West Coast/Geelong.

We won’t know either way for 12 months. But you can’t use that as an excuse not to give Chicken Nixon a run as your avatar.

Will you be MIA for those 12 months and then be reborn like the phoenix (that could be your next user name)  Seems like an unfair bet.

If we roll over without a top 5 pick...Mahoney & the club are as weak as [censored]!

A lot of posts here suggest that we want to trade Hogan more than Fremantle want to recruit him. Nonsense! As such they pay OUR price or miss out. We shouldn't bend over to help them. They won't let Neale go to Brisbane for peanuts!

The other point that intrigues me is that many posters believe that selling Hogan means getting May. Is this guaranteed? I would think not. Conceivably we could go into 2019 without Hogan and also without May.

Imagine the furore if that happened.

What's that old saying ............ 'A bird in the hand .....'

They really are playing stupid buggers.

Just because they suckered GC with the Lachie1 (Weller) trade last year, and Lachie2 (Neale) is a better player, they think they should get more for Lachie2 than Lachie1. Sorry, it's a case of GC paid way overs and you got lucky; not a case of Brisbane offering unders. Grow up and do the Lachie2 trade for fair value (pick 5) and everything else goes through. If you keep inflating the value of your second hand Toyota while down-valuing the other guys second hand Mercedes, everyone will just think that you are not worth dealing with.

If this trade goes ahead I wud like to keep pick 5 to use on Smith. I know all the talk is the back line but with lever coming back and our midfield being a year older and better I feel the back line is set Smith adds that outside run should take tysons roll from day one

you want 3 smiths in the team?

How many flags did GC win with SOG. How many Sydney with Buddy. How many Carlton with Judd.

The answer " what is your emergency "

Esprit se corps. All for One ...one for all. And all those looking over your shoulder for that promised pallet of paper bags at next season's end ....bugger off.

All those without the ticker to play 4 qtrs without sooking....join them.

Playing footy at 100% isn't for everyone. I get it.

All about the wave...

Yes, but please state the nature of the source in the first place.    Admittedly anyone can make up an unnamed source, but at at least it's something - at least it's an indication that the poster is not just stating his own hunch.

Anyone can make up "a source at the club", a "mate who spoke with the player", a "cousin of his manager" or whatever.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
