I've of course had a look at the apps but sometimes a little local knowledge helps.

Don't forget the Fremantle Doctor then.

What's the Crown complex like?

Some nice bars and restaurants but on the casino side of things it's just another casino.

Booked a room there last year for a (ahem) quiet couple of nights with the missus and was okay but pricey.

Anyone heard down there if Viney close to being reloaded or are they waiting till after this week?

I'm sure Ethan can find a spare lock-up cell for you Andy. If Tmac kicks the winner again you might need a room like that for protection.

From Ethan? I’m sure he is no BBO and gets the jolly good flogging happening if we win.

McQueen pretty much summed it up. It’s much smaller than Melbourne’s and less choices of places to eat at, but it’s obvously close to the ground. We recently stayed at The Westin Perth which is relatively new, I can recommend there.

And at least you’ll get to walk over the new bridge staying at the Westin.

Well now that you ask, yeah / nah, depends which team turns up. I love your spirit.??

I think theyre ripe for the picking. Top 2 basically secure and wont want anymore injuries or reports.

Living in the UK atm so wont be there.

You will fly home a very happy man.

Wouldn't have picked Andy as a mile-high-club kind of guy. Kudos.

No. Your not crazy! Just stupid. Haha... Joking!

I’m going and the Dees will win!

There is a Front Bar type function Friday night in East Fremantle at the Swan Yacht Club. A lot of ex-Melbourne players going to be there. $10. Sounds like it will be a good night!

See you all there.  Looking forward to the match and will probably have a look at the Perth Demons v South Fremantle on the Saturday (Current coach: Earl Spalding).

I went last year, best game I've ever been to. Just be aware, the WCE boo everything, like you've never heard before.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
