Take a deep breath   policy, wasn't feeling quite  right, so session over, 3 days before game

Told him to limp for cameras

It's not a good policy as it's been proven a few times this year that players have tried to play through injuries and made it worse.

Yep.

No Viney or Oliver doesn't bode well.

I just try not to worry over things I have zero control over.  What's the point ?

Time for Jones and Lewis to rise up a notch and take leadership back. Oliver has been carrying this team, and should he not play, those two have to step up.

Hunt looked good

But I can't see rushing him back given he was dropped before injury

Intersting tho with Casey bye this week

Kent and AvB looked good too. CJ Peds trained with backs also

Can someone please confirm whether Casey plays more games than it has byes in a full season?

Apparently he's been outstanding as a key defender for Casey the last few weeks.

Do we bring him in to take a Walker, Jenkins or Lynch?

Didn't Vince play on (and smash) Lynch last time we played them?

I suspect Clarry will play, but if not, surely we have to look at Vander. He outdoor be one week ahead of expected return. We could use a grunt mid to replace Clary.

Vanders looked really fit today

Not sure if that means anything, I'd probably look fit if I spent 2 years in the pool/gym

From the coach:

And Hogan probably getting treatment for his knock. Harmes, would anybody train 2 days after getting their hand operated on?

The Footy Gods are really playing mind games with us Dess atm, what other curve balls does they have up their sleeves?

I reckon Clarry just wants a lie down and a massage.  Good to mess with the Crows heads.  they will be planning around Clarry so this will throw them into a spin

Doedee would be a big out.  he is their intercept defender and important structurally

if people get bad news, sometimes they like to emote in order to deal with the news.  then they move on.  if you don't that's cool but other like to

What's wrong with Hogan? Perhaps the reason he's been a bit off of late? Did he sustain an injury Sat night, I didn't see it.

Copped a knee in the back/hip in 3rd quarter. Played out the game with a limp. Commentators said when it happened that it was the kind of knock that was going to hurt afterwards. Doubt it would have been enough not to play on the weekend. Not that I know.

Thanks chief.

I think the club should take a no risk approach with Oliver, Harmes and possibly Hogan. Its not the end of the world if we lose this week. Beat the Suns, get all the guns back for Sydney and try to win 2 of the last 3. That gets us a final.

Was ill yesterday and today but will train later in the week and play Saturday night.

Also, Harmes will be given to the last minute on game day.

Hopefully just resting up that knee in the back he copped.

Although, given Hogan's track record in crunch games......

Yeah not the first time he's done similar. Oliver much more the one I worry about. Even if only underdone.

Good news, singular, but good. A big body to challenge the brainless one (Tex).

Vanders - an inspirational return awaits. Pedo - an inspiration return awaits. Frosty - an inspirational return has occurred. Some things are good and I suspect Clarrie is really just fine - he'd train but he needs little of the skills drills, this week. Wagner may be useful this week with mobility and height.

Has to come in for Joel IMO and takes Tex.  O-Mac to Jenkins.  Frost to Lynch

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
