Damn Dec screwed up that one

Casey lacking a momentum /possession slow play option and not sticking enough tackles

36 minute quarter. 50 metre penalty on the siren... and... goal to Flip.

He wasn't keen on delivering inside fifty there.

Posted

First couple of minutes a good example of where the Tigers are great and where the demons lack.

Posted

First I've seen of Baker. He seems taller than his listing. And heavier looking.

Alice took on one tackle, broke that, ducked his head on the next.  Awful awful decision resulting in a goal

Anyone got a score update? ✌?

47-50 to demons. All Tigers the last 20 minutes tho.

And another awful decision....defender being tackled kicks a quick instinctive kick from 50...bounces, wobbles along the wing about 15 meters...goes out.  Deliberate!

Posted

Wow. Not that I'm not grateful that there's a live stream... but the camera couldn't find the ball for about 30 seconds there. And the commentators are getting worse.

Posted

Lol....toiges player handballs it to the line....over.  No deliberate!  you have to wonder eh

Tigers hit the front. 54 - 50. Tigers looking a cut above in the clinches in the last 30 minutes.

you would think mfc would put teams up by now 1sts and 2nds but it is of course the mfc, good grief they dont care about the supporters who tip their dollars in every year

Have Richmond named their team?

tigers dominant since the 20 min mark of the first term

hannan and bugg both know how to find the ball; neither has any idea how to use it

both have handballed multiple times directly to the oppo in attacking positions; some really bad decisions by hand and foot

2 Hannam errors cost goal.

Shocking turnover. I wonder if its just that he's not used to playing that far up the ground? or?

Posted

Apart from Pedders working for it, our big men do not take enough marks around the ground to provide any relief against the tide and are too easily pushed off the ball.  No physical presence.  No big grabs.

Hannan good early but two turnovers looking to go inside this quarter.  Bugg a horrid one in the first.

Nice work from Munro, Spargo and JKH for the finish there for the goal against the run.

It's frustrating knowing what some of these kids can do, but seeing the roles they're being asked to play. Spargo is playing as a target like he's a FF. Baker's being given no opportunity to run. Coach them to their strengths, surely.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
