Wrong, just plain wrong! The list that is.

Jetta’s made a name for himself, now that he’s in there on reputation more than his form probably warrants at the moment.

OMac should be in there too and is Whitfield a defender now?

As much as I love Jetts, I reckon he’s had a pretty quiet start to the year, so this is a bit of a surprise.

loved his bump on BBrown that said

That’s just how the media works. We’ve been complaining since 2014 that he doesn’t get the credit he deserves.  Then, when he becomes a recognised ‘star’, he starts to get credit, even when he doesn’t deserve it.

You've finally made it Neville!

He probably has that Nth nobody that pushed him into the head on marking contest to thank for this nomination.

As others have said, well down on best, but people in media who think in soundbytes have latched onto him for his reputation from last year. Not complaining.

Hahaha. Very good.

O-Mac plays on Hawkins and Hipwood one week and gets all the individual praise for keeping them quiet.

But as soon as he has a shocker, (Brown) it’s the rest of the team to blame for Oscar’s downfall.

Doesn’t quite make sense.

Hilarious.

The equaliser for all those times that no-one noticed.

A shocker? Seriously?

Didn't you say at one stage you did some scouting for afl clubs? And your assessment of Tmac's game is that he had a shocker? Perhaps you went to tge Gary Lyon school of scouting. I would urge you to consider not giving up your day job.

A shocker? Gold.

The comment was made to get some giggles on here, although IMO OMac has been very good this year and it’s not silly to suggest he should be in the conversation.

He did ok on Brown, yes he did get shoved out of the way easily two times by Brown and I certainly don’t blame the other backs for that. He still has some development left in the one on one aspect.

Yes. Its called getting older and stronger. He is a kid still. Like lever he has just tuened 22.

Brown is taller, older and stronger. Of course he is going to get out muscled sometimes by seasoned kpfs like brown At least he is not being out muscled by small forwards like menzel or debutants.

Shoved is a good word actually. He was outmarked twice, with one being a blatant push in the back.

Two of Brown’s goals were from gifted frees NOT involving OMac, so he had just two goals scored against him.

Why do you think Brown spent so much time in their defensive half? It was the only chance he had to win possessions. Sure he still has the occasional brain fart, but I am mystified at the bad raps give to OMac (and Wagner for that matter).

This is 100% it, and just shows how most of the "experts" have no idea.

The eyes of journalistic nutrient are upon you, Nev. We know your form will improve rapidly anyway as one of the best intercept backmen around.

Brown kicked four, one from a Max ruck free, another from a free from downfield.

O-Mac wasn’t shocking!

Mate. You are heading into troll territory.

We all know what your opinion is, and you are more than entitled to it, but you are just ramming it down our throats now.

Maybe hold off bagging the kid out every single time you see his name mentioned.

2017 Jetta should absolute be in that list. 2018 Jetta appears to have lost his lateral movement and clean hands which is making him look treacle slow. Will be interesting to see who he goes to tomorrow and how he holds up.

I don't wish to derail a thread with Oscar talk.

I just find it funny when posters change the narrative to suit their argument in regards to him.

A game that includes a total of 6 possessions, 2 of those being uncontested with 3 free kicks against is poor whichever way you look at it. Yeh Brown may have had a couple of goals that weren't directly to do with Oscar. But again, it's interesting none of brought up the goal Oscar gave to Waite when he was caught holding the ball after showing zero awareness in the contest.

Oscar was poor both as a number one defender and in providing an option as part of our attacking zone. You can't really hide from the facts. He was totally ineffective in most contests.

We can take this elsewhere if you wish to continue.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
