I'd be very happy if Bailey reached our first pick! Tell us about North DD.

I only went to 2 ER games this year for a beer & a chat. But what struck me was this kid's North ability to win the ball and direct the game.

Beautiful left foot, works hard very hard, good link man but best of all prepared to win his own football. He does not look quick but he has quick hands and feet.

For me this draft is all about building our depth, finding solid AFL players - for me North fits that mold.

Would not be upset if we got 4 of Petruccelle, Stoddart, Worpel, Houlihan and Tom De Koning. No order though.

36 - Krueger (as a Cripps type mid) (others Baker, Petrucelle, someone no one's ever heard of)

I'm gonna guess that our list team will go for speed and unpredictability, backing their system to smooth out some (yes, significant) issues. None of these kids will be expected to be holding down a best 22 spot right away, that's for sure.

Not really in a particular order, here are my utter guesses/wishes.

Charlie Spargo

Adam Sambono

Jack Petrucelle

Bailey Fritch, Frisht, Fritters, Fished,  Fish'nChips.

And, as a bonus, if Spargo doesn't slide far enough then the group moves up a slot and we get Hamish Brayshaw late.

The current FD have to date demonstrated:

- a willingness or even a plan to draft in players with non-footy sporting backgrounds. There are several in this draft slated around our picks who may offer extra value due to this fact.

- a bias toward multi-dimensional players as to position (a possibly partially flawed approach in my own opinion).

- an extra interest in Casey-listed players and our investment in the continuity of our affiliation.

- a wgaf attitude as to actual skills.

I also believe as subjective speculation that we won't be looking to rectify our perceived short-comings - height, pure pace, foot-skills - but will be on the hunt for players who are capable of executing our game-plan - super super fast movement.

I have no idea who we will take but, for the love of Tom Cruise, can we please stop recruiting medium sized forwards and project players (especially developing ruckmen and players from non-football backgrounds).

I hope we go hard at genuine ball-winning midfielders, given that we haven't taken one since Oliver.

We've only drafted 2 players since that draft: Hannan and Johnston!

Rumours are that the Bulldogs will get Dom Barry with a late pick (Collingwood and Hawthorn have also chatted to him).

Yeah no more Jayden Hunts, Petracca's and Max Gawn's they are no good.

More Viney's, Oliver's, Brayshaw's and Tyson's and Neal-Bullen's. Get a few more who can play at Casey like Ben Kennedy.

I'd love a medium forward project player like a Nat Fyfe.
