Trade rumours

I would love GC to play super hard ball and flat out refuse to trade unless they get what they want.

I reckon Ablett has treated GC appallingly. He demanded a 3 year contract, front ended no less, and one year in wants to go home. Doesn't get his way and then picks and chooses when he will play. What sort of rubbish is that from a player brought to the club to show leadership. At a time when they desperately needed leadership the great GA only deigned to play home games. Rocket must hate him.

I have lost a lot of respect for him. Even more so since his supposed threat to retire should he not get what he wants. I hope GC call his bluff. They would be doing the rest of the competition a big favour not gifting Geelong another A grade, brownlow medal winning mid fielder. Their reward would be repsect form the rest of the comp and their player and 2 easier games a year when they meet the Cats. [censored] him

By the by this is the worst rumour thread i in my time on DL. Sheesh. Maybe the club isn't leaking enough. Come back GNF. Give us something!

ha ha ?

Correct.

Although they do start with basic proficiency in daggers.

Maybe what @Ethan Tremblay thinks of as a sword, the rest of us regard as something... smaller.

Ethan has a magnifying mirror, could explain a bit.

here here. He says he wants to go home. Gold Coast should tell him 'fine, just retire and go home'.

If his personal issues are significant then why didn't he move home already ? he can't have his cake and eat it too.

Sounds like a magic item.

He'd need something like Knowledge (Arcana) to use it, which is an intelligence based skill.

I'll let you decide if he has a high enough INT stat.

just jks Ethan ;)

Waldron just said on sen that Watts is definitely gone and a Hogan trade is still a possibility and would be in the best interests for both parties.

Geez a forward line without watts and hogan would be interesting and by interesting I mean crap

Just caughtthe end of Hungry for Sport on SEN:

Stringer to Injectors. Cats gone cold on him.

Gaff heavily linked to Saints for a first rounder

Watts gone to make way for Lever

HTF would trading Hogan be in the best interest of both parties?

Exactly what I was thinking when I heard it.

Maybe cause he goes home for personal reasons and we get an unbelievable trade in our favour for once.

It's ok, I don't understand Elvish.

Still in the building apparently. or perhaps he has left the building and is on his way to Gosch's paddock. Short forward lines are all the rage so maybe he can slot into our newly vacant forward line.

waldron should stick to his area of expertise - brown paper bags

An interesting statement from Waldron if that's how it was articulated.

Despite people having an unhealthy hate for media, the good journos word their statements well enough so they don't get it wrong often. There isn't any wiggle room in that one about Watts.

Langdon still hasn't been held to account enough for saying 'I've got no doubt that Jesse Hogan's next contract will be back in Perth'.

Waldron is never held accountable for his predictions. Wonder if he makes it up to be controversial, actually has a source (besides Ricky Nixon or is being manipulated by someone else. I have no time for him.

None of them are held accountable really, it's why they can continue to spout shite and get away with it. People forget quickly.

Waldren hates the dees.

He's probably heard th wa clubs have spoken to Hogan's manager and gone thr ol' hogan to wa is in the blah blah blah.

Always has been a [censored]

Well it would seem that we may end up doing that rumored deal with the pies.

Pick 10 and Watts for their pick 6. Then on trade pick 6 and a shuffle of later picks to the crows for Lever.

If that's what has to happen, then so be it .. But I shudder at the thought of seeing Watts in black and white.

My heart says I would hate to lose either of them. Every heart beats true.

My head says if true we will replace them with forwards who apply forward line tackling pressure.

surely we'd have to get something else in that.. Im presuming we also give a second rounder. So its watts, our first round and our second for Lever. Just feels too much to me. I know theres a lot of Watts hate on this forum but Id be excited if I were a pie and we had him coming in. For effectively nothing!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
