Out of contract at the end of this season and Demons rated him (allegedly)ย higher than Josh Kelly in the 2013 draft. Has played 62 games and is having a breakout season. Could fill that skillful outside role as well as having the ability to go forward and hit the scoreboard. Would cost a lot and I can't actually see him leaving the Saints this year, but for mine is definitely worth the discussion.

ย

Also can't see him leaving but he'd be a great addition. I'd rather Lever though.

Excellent proposal. It would be tough indeed. Certainly worth the discussion. Should also come at a lower cost than that rumoured for Kelly.

Grew up as an Essendon supporter (assumption based on his father's team) so I could image that he might consider there first.

Trade Tyson and Salem for himย ;)

In all seriousness, I think he would frustrate the hell out of us. Having a great season but for a good kick always misses when going for goal.ย

Yup his finishing is terrible

Hes kicked 20 goals 32 behinds this season. And god knows how many missed everything or fell short.ย

I think he could fill the very valuable role Petracca/Melks type role on our forward flank nicely at the very least! Of course its all what we give and wants the come.
As mentioned our recruiters rate him highly so would not be surprised if he ends up being our big get.

Still young, ย will be a quality midfielder in time. Has great skills so it's very strange his goal kicking is so bad. One-eyed jack could be forgiven for missing on the weekend.ย

Id go after him hard. Although saints lack class so they'd be crazy to let him go

Not for me. Chip-scab possessions. Little hurt factor. Had a great last two weeks but has been ordinary for large parts of this year.

Want my outside mids to be line breakers with genuine toe. Prefer likes of Kelly and Whitfield if giving out first round picks.

Lever will cost 2 first rounders. Saints won't be asking for much less for Billingsย

Serious consideration...

Salem must be a little shaky with his form/injuries and bad report from last week

Trade month is gonna be great this year if we make September.ย

Players will love to play at The G when it is full of Red and Blue Demons

the Northern side of the G was chockers last sunday

People really think this is a factor? And you are guessing based on his Dad's team?

Seriously.

It's worked in Collingwood's favour many times. Certainly it has been a long time since people chose to go to Collingwood to secure a Premiership!ย

There's probably a Clayton Oliver thread on the Saints board too ...

It does explain why Judd, Franklin and Pendlebury were all so keen to come to Melbourne.

If Oliver is out of contract this late in the season I would expect 17 clubs to be asking the question.

Not worth what the Saints would want for him.ย

i dunno ethan, he's only 21 and very talented. knows how to find the pill and always dangerous in the forward line.

i'd at least be sounding out his manager

St Kilda will most likely want a player like Oliver, Brayshaw or Petracca in return as part of a trade.

ย

This type of player is surplus to our needs.

No.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kateโ€™s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwoodโ€™s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

Narrm time isnโ€™t a standard conceptโ€”itโ€™s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking. ย We filled our boots with percentage โ€” now a whopping 520.7% โ€” and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourneโ€™s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasnโ€™t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's ย six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his teamโ€™s unfulfilled potential rang true โ€ฆ well, almost.ย
