Regarding Salem if he was injured they wouldn't bother having him as omitted. I know he hasn't found form yet and had a bad game last week but I thought his ball use and touch of pace off half back would be pretty key against this faster side who really feast off poor ball use coming out of the oppositions backline.

As for Frost I thought he would potentially be the best match up (in tandem with the Macs) for Roo with his closing speed. So I'm sure its probably not true but would the club know that Reiwoldt is out?. Anyway I guess they're wanting more from Sam which hopefully he can achieve with a week at Casey.

Agreed.

Weird that they don't state injury as the reason for dropping Salem, despite looking very sore at one stage last week. Surely he wasn't dropped on form?

I thought he and Watts were both off in the non negotiables and said so after the game.   He deserves to be omitted.

While he may deserve to, this is not a game to be making a statement. If he goes then we have pedo and weideman as the talls up forward... that.. is terrifying.

I have a feeling we will get flogged.  Unfortunately. Iwould have both Watts and Weideman playing but if wet then only one. Don't like the 2 outs especially Frosts run so I hope goody has this right. Our full forward line looks horrible. Put petracca at full forward.

I don't think it's making a statement dropping a non performing footballer

Reiwoldt has been named as an 'out' - no guesswork here. Right call to rest Frost.

Regardless whether Reiwoldt is in or out we are facing a team fighting to stay in the finals race, a win against us is a must. they still have some decent tall marking forwards and these type of players always give us grief. We need to come to play.

With Frost out, it certainly wouldn't surprise to see T Mac go back with his brother to play on Bruce and Membrey.  I think Watts survives as Goodwin has shown a preference for 3 talls in the forward line, so I can see him going with the mix of Watts, Pedo and Weideman down there.

Make no mistake, we are a big chance this weekend to turn our season around.  We've had a very disappointing two weeks, but we've hopefully gotten those two weeks out of the way before the season is a total disaster.

You may be loyal but you remind me of the 'supporter' sitting in front of me at a certain match. Every time Watts went near the ball he'd start making negative remarks, bemonaing the worst #1 pick of all time.  Didn't even notice when Watts did something very skilful which led to a goal.  He seemed to get more joy out of bagging Watts than anything else.  I wondered why he followed the footy at all.

Will be sunny and 19.

We will only get flogged if our mids get man-handled like GWS.

saints mids are so far off from GWS quality that we will need a run of injuries on the day to get flogged

MODS - THERE ARE ONCE AGAIN TWO THREADS RUNNING IN PARALLEL.

PLEASE MERGE.

Preferably in the future, leave the speculative one running up until the official team list is announced, and lock the other one until the same time.

Only then can we seperate the speculation from the facts.

MONOCCULAR - WE DONT READ OR SEE EVERY THREAD - WE BROWSE THE FORUM AS PER OUR INTERESTS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. IF SOMETHING NEEDS ATTENTION, REPORT THE POST AND ALL THE MODS WILL GET A NOTIFICATION, RATHER THAN YELLING IN A THREAD.

That was annoying to type on my phone.

On selection, Frost has been hopeless for the last two weeks. I'm surprised people are surprised.

Can't see them going through the hoopla of naming Brayshaw if he's not playing. Think he'll be joined on the bench by Weid, with two of Harmes, Watts and Maynard competing for the last two places.

St.Kilda hasn't won without Riewoldt or Montagna since 2005... Usually were good at letting sides break hoodoos/records against us
