Does it matter Jnr?

FD appear to see him as yesterday's hero who does not fit the current player requirement.

How on earth do you come to that conclusion? He had just come back into the side which suggests he does fit tbe current player requirement. Strange

They preferred others for a month. He was dropped for what appeared to be no defensive pressure which is something the FD now shows is not negotiable. He then produced some very good games at Casey but stayed anchored at Casey.  He got in against the Crows in Darwin because our injuries list left not much else. It was a choice between him and Kennedy. That really means there was no choice. He is remnant from the bad old days and I suspect that is how the FD see him. Don't be surprised if he puts his hand up from transfer at seasons end.

Maybe he isn't meeting current requirements, but a bit early to tell old fella. Season still rolling along and all.

Cards it is not me making those decisions it is the FD.

i am just commenting on how I see their decisions.

as well he has a dislocated shoulder so we may not see him again in 2017 at senior level.

Not happy. Today I had the day off and assumed training would be on at the normal time although it wasn't an open session and I also wanted to visit the Demon Shop to buy an indigenous jumper. So I rode my bike down to Gosch's around 10 a.m. only to find an empty oval. I back tracked to the Gee and to the Demon Shop only to find the indigenous jumpers are in short supply. They had extra small, small, then 2XL to 4XL. Nothing in the middle that fitted me so no sale. I checked some other stuff but they also had very small or large sizes only. So I suppose that is a sign of good sales. So maybe next year then.

At his best he is a very good player. I heard Roos describe him as " elite". I don't want to give up on him. Look at his R3 game v Cats. Kicked a couple, missed several. Has great pace and, at his best, tackles ferociously

Trouble is Farmer he only produces his best one week in four.

how many has he played this year? The answer is six and only 58 for his career.

IMO his lack of games this year is down to our improving list. Three years ago he was a walk up start. Not so now.

He's been flown to Sweden for their state-of-the-art pillows.

Don't you need an Allen key to put those together?

It's probably more a sign that  we're not as fat as the KFC Richmond supporters or as skinny as the Collingwood ones who can't chew solids.

Clear scans, why wouldn't his ankle continue to improve?

This week (and the remaining weeks) is life and death. Gawn must be risked.

Not sure if you remember the first encounter against North in round 9, but Goldstein got about 122 hitouts as their midfield ran riot to get the win. I know Goldy may not be playing this week but we need to win the midfield battle regardless of who Norf rucks this week.

I agree with BBP - North play tall (Brown, Waite, Goldy/Pruess/Daw). I think Pedo was awesome the first 6-7 weeks he was in the side but his last 2-3 games patchy. If Gawn is really that questionable, I'd be looking at Spencil first. Need ruckman height, win ball in middle to negate their fwd line.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
